又要停一個月。
老師說我們在家只可以做三件事,坐著什麼也不做(是什麼也不做),ground work 或者一個pose(不要flow)。
躺著背向天,雙手交叉在胸前,伸直。

上星期天拍的。


反感

對一些正面的要求反感,是因為沒有能力。能力來自能量,要儲的。

做事要有heart,做時要wise and smart。不好嗎?!

Depends

"It depends on what the person wants," he says, "… health, recovery from sickness or a spiritual path. More important than the technique is the experience the person needs." However, Kausthub says yoga should not be based only on the physical aspect. "Somewhere deep inside there is a spiritual search … that needs to be identified and ignited," he noted, adding, "If you [teachers] are only interested in their body, you are doing a disservice."

In asana practice, the preparation should not be more difficult than the main posture, which should be broken down into steps." Vinyasa krama, the theme of the workshop, means the process (vinyasa) of one step at a time (krama). "Each step is a check to see if you are ready to go to the next. Every posture, each stage, needs to be comfortable. If the goal is to lift the arms over the head and bend forward, if you are not able to lift your arms, the goal is then to lift the arms, not bend forward."

Even alignment, he says, is important "only in respect to the person. It's subjective." It's not about how [a pose] looks, but what it does to you that is important. It's not about the form, it's about function."

"We don't change ourselves to yoga, yoga changes itself to us. Make yoga fit you-what you like, what you want. Yoga is a very flexible system.

一小時

一年才一個小時有何用,倒不如一個星期一次。我說的是關燈。其實晚上要這麼多光來做什麼。

還沒有上小學,家長已經把小孩弄得很忙。做練習本,小孩子真的明白嗎?!倒不如讓小孩子畫畫圖畫,唱唱歌,跳跳舞。

晚上,什麼也不好做,早點睡。

大人說是親子要做好爸爸,我覺得好自私。週末很多時間可以做。

又,大人帶小朋友去學習golf。不好吧!重複又重複的動作,壞了身體。

幼兒最基本的能力就是「模仿」,透過模仿來學習。但在雲門的「生活律動」課程設計裡,我們認為僅有模仿的教學方式並不足夠,尤其如果幼兒只是跟著做,跟著學,而學的是成人的東西,就太可惜了。因為幼兒不是「小大人」,孩子在學習模擬(而非模仿)外在事物時,會有自己的創造力產生。因為孩子的創造力無所不在,已有邏輯思考能力的他們,透過身體接觸來探索外在的世界,會不停的將舊經驗累積成新經驗,轉化出令成人也嘆為觀止的肢體呈現。如果舞蹈律動要在幼兒身上發展,應該要跳脫「純模仿」的模式,而去開發孩子自身的舞蹈,也就是「發現孩子自己的世界」,讓幼兒的生活與學習相結合,透過「生活律動」教學,引領幼兒能達到健康、快樂、成長的學習經驗。

埋怨

同事每天都在埋怨,說老闆的不是。老闆可能是不對,但行動是自己的。知道某些做法是不正確的,說出影響,不就可以嗎?!不能說我對你錯,這不是理由。平心而論,同事一說話,就有攻擊性,誰會聽她的。

alignment 是一種狀態,一個訊息。align 得到,不需要太用力,事情就做好了。明白了基本,好做事。

朋友繼續欺騙自己明白某些事情,不知為的是什麼。

鐘樓

早到五分鐘

老師著同學早到五分鐘,同學說今天沒有遲到。老師說他的話不是這個意思。他想說的是為何要趕著去練習呢?

沒有平靜的心,做什麼也是沒有意義。

沒有資源

小朋友家裡沒有網路,卻鼓勵他找資料來看。是幫助他還是給了他欲望?!是我,只會提供他能力範圍可以做到的。

外甥女

主動叫我做運動,可是她很多動作都做不到,不做了。她有的是小聰明,可沒有耐性。學校裡的一位老師會取笑她,妹妹說跟我的方法一樣。

分享

跟老師說近來身體給了很多的訊號,吃某些事物有不舒服的感覺,選擇是少了。他笑了一笑回應了我。

相信,練習yoga,選擇少了是附帶的。選擇少了卻多了滿足,是欲望少了。

我又說人際關係是改善了,不需要說太多而別人能明白我(當然只限於腦電波能溝通的)。老師說是我的感染力。想著說的時候,有點害怕老師的不認同。

我也想說,工作多的是可不忙。

三月的樹

在跳舞?!

三角形

角度拿得不好,三角形不太平衡(長短腳)。

地點:香港文化中心

課堂體驗

天氣潮濕,身體很重。做到有點負荷不到,差點要停。今天flow 的比重多了。

三分鐘的standing forward bend,老師說呼吸大概有二十五次。我的二十四次。

十組的cobra child,我的速度是做不到十組的。

bridge,老師說pat pat 不應該是實的。是大腿的力。需要時間去體會。

躺著踏單車,手放在腹部上。老師說肚沒有上升就是用了腹肌了。呵!做到。

坐著也可以做cat cow 的。

很久也沒有做side plank,做得不好是當然的,可身體也沒有震震震。

lunge 手指觸地打開身體,很消耗體力的。

lunge 前後換腳,做不到。

站著tip toe 做上上落落左左右右,累到不得了。

3-leg dog,開始做到利用臀部調節平衡。

老師說時常不來的同學要量力而為,時常來的就要加倍努力,多做一點。

老師也說別人做的比自己好,不要羡慕,是別人的付出。

最後的一幕“香夭”居然只有唱詞,還是放一部卡式機在臺上。很大膽。坐在我旁的觀眾,大聲叫好。離場的時候,聽到一位觀眾說這是最好的安排。

留白,一點也不容易。

動與靜,靜的動態,所表達的更多。頗喜歡劉兆銘的演繹。

舞蹈,可以是沒有音樂的。第二幕,可以說只有聲音。

放了一些彩排的元素在舞臺上,喜歡。

佈景中有一個時鐘,想表達的是什麼呢?

《水中之書》

很少會在平日的晚上看表演,今次因為沒有星期天的下午場,選了便宜一點的星期二場。

看的是十七號晚的一場。

最喜歡的角色是“小女孩”,黃慧慈又進步了。小女孩跟Vivienne 的演繹有點像《再見不再見》。

劉守正扮演的回音,很吸引。他也進步了不少。

很喜歡文字投射到布幔上,然後慢慢像煙一樣消失。很多事情都是過眼雲煙。畫出了文字,欣賞過,就是了。

旋轉舞臺,變化出不同的場景(近來有很多這樣的舞臺設計)。一個人,能走的地方,就是這麼的多?!心不轉,看到的可能永遠也一樣。想到那裡啊?!

體驗

有些人不能過著如法的生活,因為他談得太多。
有些人雖只略聞正法,從自己的身體去體驗自然法則,這樣,他就能過著如法的生活,永遠不會忘記正法。

無聊

某部門說某文件不許用,那麼可以用哪,沒有告知。真的無聊。

Tree Pose

同事說tree pose 很容易,只是把腳抬上來。老師跟我們說最難的是mountain pose。

好想說一句

一件微不足道的事(對當事人來說當然是大件事),說上了數次(還要扮演不喜歡的人說話的語調),真的需要嗎?!身體給了很多的訊息,還不留心?!

好想跟她說一句,對自己好些吧!

一片麵包

今天了奶醬包,只有一片麵包;可厚厚的,等同一般的兩片。最好的是連皮也好好味道。
菠蘿包也好好味道,四塊大大個。

Shoulder

a diagnosis of frozen shoulder actually describes a hot, painful, and inflamed joint, which is technically called adhesive capsulitis. Breaking down the words can help you understand the condition: -itis means inflamed, so you know that the fibrous capsule that surrounds the shoulder joint is swollen, hot, and painful. Adhesive refers to adhesions, which is scar tissue that forms between the folds of the capsule. If you stitched the folds of a tablecloth, you wouldn't be able to open the cloth up to its full size. Similarly, with adhesive capsulitis, the adhesions won't allow the joint capsule to open fully. The tightened capsule limits the full movement of the shoulder into flexion, abduction, and rotation.

A typical frozen shoulder can only flex (bring the arm forward and up) to just above horizontal, and abduct (bring the arm out to the side and up) to just below horizontal.

Learning to relax the shoulder muscles in an open, lengthened position helps your body unlearn the guarding, tightening response that automatically accompanies pain.

There is integrity in being present with things just as they are, whether the difficulty is a painful shoulder or a painful time in your life. Learn to breathe and let go, and things will begin to change.

Feeling

But feeling, too, can be misled. The more we cling to the ego, the more our feeling faculty manifests emotion, which distorts our perceptions. But as we relax away from ego and calm our feeling nature, we get a progressively more accurate picture of reality, until at last we see reality as it truly is. This higher expression of our feeling nature is what I will call “deep feeling.”

Calmness sets the stage for listening. To truly understand something, we first must slow down and listen to it, feel it.

“Place” your body in the pose, rather than forcing it.

deeper listening is not about myriad details, but rather a single essence or direction. With that in mind, do the pose again, letting your body tell you how to proceed. Don’t think about each movement; instead, listen and follow. Try to feel inwardly the essence of the pose--not the body’s habits--leading you into position.

老師好好笑,近幾個星期都跟我說不好工作,再來悠長假期。
不跟錢有關,現時的工作好有滿足感。

零零碎碎的。
回來看看,原來是說踏進三十歲前的迷惘。
做鉛筆,留痕跡。
對故事沒有共鳴(回望,自家沒有迷惘過),留意最多的是肢體。
坐在第二行(第一行沒有賣票),近距離看到黃詠詩。

路經豪華,試一試(只吃了奶油多和咖啡)。很舊式的店。
想去永樂園,又找不到。
到了筷子記,裝修。
看見了沾仔記,試一試。吃了淨三拼,幾好味道。
九龍醬園休息,沒得買東西吃。
到了陳意齋買紮蹄。
晚飯前,邊吃紮蹄(硬了一點)邊喝可樂。
回家前,買了蕃薯糖水。

沒了信任

早就說過是沒了信任,證實了。那一刻,心死過(事情算是了結了,不過不想這樣終結);不過很快就跟自己說,要寬恕。是很好的學習機會。

銀針粉

近期的星期六,總是吃炒銀針粉。從小到大,都喜歡吃的。

約我去旅行

跟星洲同事閒談,說到旅行,她想去的地方我也想去。於是我們說不如四人同行,香港星洲混合。很好的注意啊!

開心的是無關旅行是否成行,而是我給人的印象。

模仿錯誤

開始懂模仿錯誤,這代表明白了。正確地做對我來說沒有難度,是時間長短而已(身體狀態沒有準備好,沒得勉強)。模仿,反而需要反復研究。

Twist

What’s this have to do with twists? Think of the sponge as one of your abdominal organs, say the liver (which is located just under your diaphragm, in the upper right side of your abdominal cavity). When you twist your torso, you compress your liver, very much like your hand squeezed the sponge. All the “dirty water”–accumulated toxins and whatnot–is squeezed out of the organ; then, when you de-rotate your torso back to neutral, it’s akin to releasing your pressure on the sponge: just as fresh water saturates the sponge, fresh blood and other nutrients saturate the purified liver.

一切由pelvis 開始。

很不一樣

身軀上半身能打開多一點,做起triangle 來變得很不一樣。stretch 的幅度大了。

以前做的,身軀是往下墜。現在能提起一點點。才做了左右兩次,感覺到熱力從內裡運轉。

As you train the muscles around your shoulders to keep your arms in place, you're not only teaching yourself not to slump but also opening your chest so your lungs can expand more fully.

Aparigraha

As I waited for him to arrive, I couldn't help noticing the beautiful people who passed by in their elegant clothes, glancing at their expensive watches. I was filled with a strange and powerful longing. When I explained my feelings to my husband, his response was simple: "That's greed."

But greed is not just confined to material goods. We may hunger after enlightenment, difficult asanas, spiritual powers, or perfect bliss. One way to sidestep the trap of greed is to follow the advice of the sages: Be happy with what you have. This spirit of true renunciation will diminish the power of aparigraha.

Meaning

If we want to be deeply happy, we have to focus on meaning.

總有原因

快三月中才問在二月已經完成的事情,不懂看還是不願意看。表現差總是有原因的。

Alignment

"Yoga is not about the shape of a pose," he says. "It's about balancing the energetic system so energy flow is stimulated in a balanced way. If this is the reason for doing yoga, you cannot not worry about alignment. The key question to ask yourself about your asana practice is not how much you achieved a certain shape, but how you feel when you come out of a pose. If you feel lighter, more balanced and more energetic, that's good. If not, work on your alignment.

做任何的動作,不論時間長短,做完後感覺都好好。人好像睡醒一覺似的。一些還沒有準備好的,做完就覺得累。

Yoga

Real yoga, however, happens within. It really does not matter how good your lotus position is, how many handstands you can do or how deep your backbends are if you’re unconscious about the way you treat other people and yourself.

The learning that happens within the field of yoga asks you to embrace both the part of yourself that has a vital contribution to the flow of life and the part of you that is connected to all sentient beings. If you think you’re going to beat one of your fellow teammates at the game of life, think again, because life is not an Olympic sport with gold, silver and bronze metals. There is no judge waiting at the finish line to rate your performance, except maybe yourself. The reason why there can be no competition in the deepest sense of life is that the parameters by which life is truly measured are infinite.

每天有好感覺就是了。

除了身體上有些不適,每天都過得很好。

修習

今天有很多人在機械的念佛號或做類似的修行,他們相信,這會給他們帶來智慧和解脫。他們被形式、語言和名相束縛住了,沒有運用自己的智慧來接受和修習佛法。不運用自己的智慧,沒有老師和能夠指給你正確修行道路的朋友,這樣地去修行,可能會很危險。

送給朋友S 的,希望他停止現時的所謂練習。好好跟導師學習才是方法。

買買買

公司附近開了無印,買買買,五十元四件東西(有糖有魚乾有紅豆餅有豆渣餅)。沒有要紙袋,拿著它們回公司。

勤記

終於掌握到下車時間還沒到九點,走了去勤記買咖啡(想做了很久的一件事)。好喝。拿著透著熱度的紙杯,隨風飄來陣陣咖啡香,單是這樣已經滿足。

退休

老師問我是否想退休了(因為貪睡,沒有幫忙)。想了這問題,不想啊!每天上班,好充實,好有滿足感。

You Are What You Act

Extend the attention you exercise during your asana practice to life in general. Get an anatomy book and read about the area where you're injured "so it's not a mystery," Life says. "You need to be able to visualize it. Then observe all your habits: the shoes you wear, how you carry your bags, how you walk down the street. You have to mentally be aware of habits you form and start changing them. Because it isn't just something that happens in asana practice; the practice just kind of pulls it out and says, 'Hey, you better pay attention to this.'"

Nothing to Achieve

triggers what in Western psychology is known as the "false-self complex," when highly charged ideas about how we should be, look, and feel create a deep disconnection from the body, leading us to be out of touch with how we and the things around us really are. In asana practice, this false, disconnected self uses external instead of internal references to "achieve" postures, measuring oneself against other people, photographs in books, and even how the posture felt yesterday. This prevents us from being here now

老師好強調一切也在變。

那天好好笑,我們要做seated wide leg raise up,做不到。於是提提右腳,放下,提提左腳。老師看在眼裡也笑。突然做到一兩秒的兩腳離地。

管不了

人,真的管不了,我也沒有能力去管(大人大姐,點管)。最好的是別人不認識我,低調就好。跟同事說,如果新加入的不做事情,我是沒有辦法的,唯有自己做。

點解咁多

多不好嗎?!不看數字做人的,有幾多做幾多。

輕鬆

以為不累就不理了,原來沒有放輕鬆。轉了轉心態,狀態好了。

星洲同事問那裡的點心好吃,想不到;想到的只是機械味道。

某天摸一摸,什麼也沒有了。

課堂體驗

上一次課堂是兩個星期前,躲懶沒有記錄。

今天身體很累,沒精打采的。可課堂的表現還可以,出奇地做到少許的boat。可以堅持的,不過身體震得可以,感覺到心跳(有點厲害),要停下來。

wide leg forward bend,腰肢很硬,曲腿也落不下去。

twist,伸展得很舒服。拉拉拉!

fish tale,看見腹部以下在動。

盤腿手撐地把臀升起,做到少許。離地的一刻,感覺怪怪的,好像身體某處被淘空。

蹲下向後一跳做plank,還可以。

squat 後做side stretch,很硬啊!身臂伸展不得太好。

躺下做butterfly,腳跟較為貼近身體了。

我們要飛著從standing forward bend 站好,背是保持直的。

沒有做大休息,做了leg up to the wall。

老師特別解說,做warrior I 的時候,後腳要直不過重心在前腳。pelvis 的穩定好重要。

整個星期,最舒服的時間就是課堂的一個半小時。

The Most Important

"You can make it stronger," he says, "but you can't make it shorter."

Spine

To have a healthy spine, we must systematically move it through its full range of motion. This means sometimes we tuck the pelvis to flatten the spine, sometimes we tilt the pelvis to arch the spine, and sometimes we keep the spine neutral. This is the Taoist view of life, a constant alternation from one opposite to another. The contraction and expansion of the heart are opposites, but by alternating they are the Tao of circulation. The expansion and contraction of the lungs are opposites, but by alternating they are the Tao of breathing. Tucking and tilting the pelvis have opposite effects on the curve of the spine, but by alternating they are the Tao of posture.

When practicing backbends such as the Cobra, don't try to tuck the pelvis, but let the spine arch. When practicing forward bends such as Paschimottanasana, don't try to tilt the pelvis, but let the spine round. These are normal movements for the lumbar spine, and to fight against them is to nullify the effects of the poses. Of course, overstretching an already injured spine could make it worse. But sooner or later, the goal of all physical rehabilitation is to regain the natural range of motion. Yoga practice helps us retain our full range of motion so we can easily alternate from a tucked pelvis with a straight spine to a tilted pelvis with an arched spine. Both these movements are necessary to maintain healthy posture.

Neck

Passively dropping the chin to the chest is a gentle Yin approach. A more aggressive effort would be to contract the muscles of the neck to depress the chin deeper toward the chest. The most aggressive stretch would be to use the hands to gently push on the back of the head. This is the deepest possible stretch for the neck while seated.

認識擁有大玩具的人,雖然跟人共同擁有。說笑(但認真),好想上去看一看。

Lower Back

Poses such as Dandasana and forward bends help stretch not only the back muscles but also the hamstrings (along the backs of the thighs), helping relieve tension in the lower back. They also teach you to extend through the torso and tip the top of the pelvis forward, so the back can move through its normal range of motion. This is important for the lower back muscles to function optimally. "There's a relationship between the length of a muscle and the strength that it generates," Brown says. "If a muscle cannot move along its normal full range of motion, it can't generate the optimal power."

懶懶的時候,最喜歡坐在凳上做forward bend。

風雲變色

昨天又傻了一次。以為隧巴的號碼一定是紅色的,原來不是。差一兩步就到了車站,眼看不到紅色的字,唯有轉頭向下一站走,走了數分鐘。

連續兩晚

都是吃通粉,都是喝熱檸檬水(加了糖)。自家加熱水,一晚喝了兩杯。

很慷慨,給了半個檸檬。

Database

建立了一個database,好好用。有些資料重複了,看看有沒有辦法解決。用的是Access query。

坐巴士

終於行動了,沒有賴床,能坐巴士上班。好舒服,基本上巴士上沒有太多人(奇怪一路上也不太多車),到了隧道口才滿坐。在公司附近下車,咖啡的選擇可以不只是麥記。

外賣加與不加一蚊

今晚在家樓下買的外賣,不需要加一蚊。那天午飯把不想在店鋪裡喝的咖啡帶回公司,要多給一塊。

看不到

看不到,居然說別人寫的不清楚。世事就是這樣。不想接受也要接受,因為是活生生的例子。

把這個看成職業,沒話可說。

沒了鈴聲

電話終於出毛病了,沒了鈴聲。買了這個(紫紅色的),隨便選的(原來型號頗新),折合七百八十,用了三百多的cash dollar,實付四百多。

說來好笑,問售貨員按鈕在哪(其實猜到是推開機身就能看見)。店員著我試電話,開機畫面出現很多東西,問他如何使用。

勁低能。
