他們的歡樂

想著不去活動(人不能太集中),不過想想如果我不在的話,他們會時常問著的(這是他們的習慣)。再想想,他們看見自己而叫我的名字,臉帶笑容,那些全是他們的歡樂。

昨晚電視節目說關於智障加過度活躍症的人士,那媽媽很偉大啊!在宿舍和在家裡,簡直是兩個人(那家的工人說她是欺負媽媽啊)。沒有接觸過過度活躍症的人士(其實有點怕,怕是怕自己控制不到場面而發脾氣),不知道他們可否跳舞的呢?

後話:問老師有沒有教授有關人士,他說有。我問,他們聽話嗎?他說不聽的。那麼怎麼要他們動?他說要周圍走的都沒有辦法。完了星期三的活動,問問老師可否參與這些。

說明白了,於是我問要做什麼,回答不做這個那個。要做什麼啊?不做這個那個不代表你會做應該做的事。為何不能清清楚楚地說出來呢?!

Compassion

The compassion at the heart of Buddhist practice is not just the compassion that arises from reflection on the sufferings of others, nor the more natural compassion that arises when we see someone struggling with difficulties we know through our own experience; for these are, in the end, emotions. It is the unrestricted expression of direct awareness itself, an expression that arises because emptiness frees awareness from the restrictions of self, thought, and projection, frees it to respond to the imbalances that generate struggles and suffering in this world we experience, and frees it to respond in any appropriate way.

最後的幾句看得不明白,可知道那是方向。

來錯了

要的是生麵卻來了公仔麵,想換的,不過再想想,不想浪費食物也不想人家生意難做,一碗麵連飲品才十七塊。

什麼也沒有所謂,吃得開心就是了。

想起星期日那天,坐在學院大堂裡的花糟旁跟同伴吃著麵包(差不多是坐在地上了),多麼的快樂。

Timelessness

Nothingness means total functioning, just functioning energy. When the present is no-time, it is interconnected with all sentient beings in the peace and harmony of timelessness. But when nothingness functions, there is a pivot, and it becomes the present. That pivot is called the pivot of nothingness. At that precise point—the intersection of time and space, which is called right now, right here—all sentient beings come together into the moment and a vast world comes up: past, present, future, earth, trees, planets, moons, and suns. In one moment, every possible aspect of human life, everything we can be, spreads out, unfolds, and a huge world comes up. That is called interdependent co-origination. Life is always at the pivot of nothingness; it is always right now, right here. Right now, right here is the eternal moment of the real present.

這是實實在在能感受到的。

When you are thinking about the past and future, the contents of the present are just imaginary pictures of the past and future, pictures fabricated by your consciousness at the pivot of nothingness, so it is not the real present. The real present is the full aliveness that exists at the pivot of nothingness before your conceptual thinking creates an imaginary world through human consciousness. So to understand the present as a pivot of nothingness, your concept of the present must be negated. It must become no-present; then you can see the real present.

You pour your energy into new situations because you are not concerned with status or outcomes. You engage whatever you are doing without personal expectations or projections. Instead of talking about grandiose schemes, you end up doing just what needs to be done.

Reactive patterns associated with the ordinary sense of self push us to ignore, shut out, manipulate, or control what arises in experience.

we have no expectations about the outcome of practice; we just meet whatever is arising.

We don’t think about these situations or try to figure out what we might or might not do. Instead, we put ourselves right into the situation and meet what arises as the embodiment of the awake quality we have committed to. In other words, we don’t try to figure things out—we experience being the awake quality and work from there.

跟媽媽對話

媽媽:點解睇亞視?
我:有老師在。

電視播放著跳舞片段(那是一段由簡單動作串起的舞蹈,很老師feel 的)。

媽媽:你們跳這些嗎?
我:(笑)差不多,當然人家比我們跳得好很多。

電視播放著老師授課的情況。

我:就是這些了。

那舞蹈室很小,自己多麼的幸福,能在標準舞蹈室跟他們一起玩。

紅色橙色

星期五,兩種顏色都不選。我是支持的。想不到有什麼理由不支持,這些那些,把事情複雜化了。

生氣

今天又生氣了,立即知道,立即處理。生氣是因為說了十多次還每次都像是第一次說的,一句看後忘了好像變成了藉口。生氣也是好的,知道自己還有一顆關懷的心。想起昨天跟老師說的一句話“沒有人要激你啊”,這話可是說給自己聽的。

想起昨天,那群年輕人不顧環境而起跳,他們頭頂是轉動的風扇。樓低矮,稍稍跳起就碰到了。當然那群人被罵了,在眾人面前。這些這些,我們全要學習,為人做服務,安全很重要,我們也要留意環境。

知足

能夠學習是一種福報。

得到的已經很多很多的了。跟學員一起時,他們在學我在練習,到了他們練習的時候我又在學了。學什麼?學老師對他們的觀察和給意見。

能夠投入學習,真的不容易。

事物

都算是少出門的人,可是買吃的東西,別人都沒有吃過的。看看明天有沒有百合茄。

活動日誌

老師說我們要把歡樂氣氛帶到課堂裡。
又跳新的?!好好好。原來這個下午也要跳啊!
老師教導學員認識空間,走出走入,就有了。
上次是高中低,今次是大中小,都是一樣。空間。
同伴問老師怎會記得那麼多舞步,我說有些可能是他的即興創作。
有鏡的地方,學習起來會快一些。

比三角型的好吃,也有我喜歡的芝士。

課堂體驗

繼續很多的前前後後,有點適應下來了,一步一步來(投入在過程裡)。還以為身體會很累,今天起來後並沒有什麼。應該不只是活動了表面的肌肉了。

downward facing dog 腳跟著地,開始的時候總不可以,間斷地做了十次(不確定是多少次),情況好了。

兩個人,上面的一個做類似的動作,下背很不舒服,也不繼續了。

腰兩旁的肌肉開始有力了,能做比較漂亮的triangle pose。也因為此,肩膀和胸骨也相對地配合。

做著forward bend 休息的狀態時,我把第四隻腳趾扶正。晚上洗澡的時候又做一次,很有趣。

老師說不好模仿他,沒有了他就什麼也不懂做。我在留意他動作與動作之間的轉換。

lunge,老師提醒曲起的腳要成九十度,有位同學做不了。他說九十度也不明白的話,沒有別的辦法。九十度就是膝跟小腿,小腿跟足,大腿跟小腿。

活動日誌 – 下午部分

完結的一刻,很感動(雖然我們只是跟身邊的人說再見,拍拍肩膀)。想繼續啊!

老師問了大家一個問題,什麼是快樂。我回答自己,他問的一刻就是快樂。

真的不好以為自己的能力比別人高,玩同一個遊戲(跟年輕人一起),一樣聽不到指令(第三個走出來第一個就離開)。是有關理解能力和集中力。遊戲不在簡單與複雜,能力高些的可以玩得快些,自動調節。老師不斷在過程中,提醒要集中。

聽到兩位年輕人說過往有不愉快的經歷,她們見到了什麼的人和遇到什麼的事情呢?

有人在分享裡哭了,說是第一次那麼投入地做手語歌。越簡單的事情越能投入感受越多。簡單就是美,沒錯的。

老師要我們想想自己在活動裡的位置,然後把它做好。

不需要金錢(雖然他們買了食物),沒有白紙黑字,可大家都來了。活動地點機構說想再來一遍,相信問題不大。

老師說是次活動可能成就了一個人一個星期一個月甚至一年的回憶(或是更長),我們不可以隨便說話,不能說下次再來探他們。何止說話,所有的身體語言也一樣的。

是jazz 嗎?學不了。拆開來的動作一點也不困難,可手舞足蹈的時候就是硬硬的。都是喜歡看現代舞,靜態一點。

看見年輕的,不覺得跟他們不同。

或者我要停止問相同的問題。我要問的是每天花幾分鐘去關心你選擇去關心的人可以嗎?選擇去關心是關鍵。

澳門風味麵

很少拍餐牌的,因為怕忘記自己吃了什麼(吃了號碼一、二及五),惟有把餐牌拍下來。中環地區,連飲品,三餸麵,二十六塊(晚上也算下午茶),超級合理。

看了介紹(在餐牌後面),原來選的都與魚有關。麵是沒有鹼水的,所以不彈牙。

選中想看的,全在六月,有五場。三場戲劇兩場舞蹈。

左邊腿成九十度時,左手可以捉著右手的手腕。右邊的肩膀始終不比左邊的靈活。

手這樣地捉著,伸後的一條腿要站前來,怎也移動不了。惟有放手,站前,手再次走在一起。

今天這樣坐了,做的過程跟yoga journal 裡所說的不一樣。

我能做得到的,是手直直地觸到腳趾而盡量把身軀向同一方向彎下去。

可以做到高舉的手把腳趾捉著,是我的意料之外。身軀當然傾前了。

老師教我們用手捉著大拇指來做side bend,效果很好。這樣做,身軀不容易往下沉,抵消了地心吸力。

離開的一刻,找不到同伴(還想跟他們晚飯),有點失落,不過很快就沒事。沿著荷李活道到中環走走,吃麵和喝咖啡,再走到大會堂(要買票),雖然票買不到,拿到雜誌,開開心心地回家。

情緒,望望它,它會離開的。

Mirror

criticism is not helpful—but acknowledgement is. If, for example, we notice someone being unmindful, the right response would be, “I wonder how mindful I am at the moment?” This is the only worthwhile response.

有時侯我們的反應是不要像他,那麼我們就會做了相同的行為,因為我們說了“像他”。我相信這力量,說話的方式也因此改變了(自從認識了潛意識後)。我會問自己如何如何做得好。

Appreciate

Whenever we appreciate what we have, we are happy. That effort is an intelligent technique. We might have a very simple life, but still we can think, This flower is lovely or This water is good. If we are too picky, thinking this is wrong and that’s wrong, then nothing is ever perfect. We need to learn how to be content so that whatever we have is precious, real, and beautiful. Otherwise, we might be chasing one mirage after another.

唯一可以說的就是感恩,能夠感受到少的快樂。

方法

Effort alone, though, is not sufficient. The effort needs to be skillful. This means directing your energy just at the right places and sustaining it there until its task is completed. Skillful effort neither hinders nor disturbs you; instead it produces the peace of deep meditation.

對的方法,一次也可感受到不同。就是因為感受到不同,願意繼續下去。

Consciousness

Mind consciousness is the first kind of consciousness. It uses up most of our energy. Mind consciousness is our “working” consciousness that makes judgments and plans; it is the part of our consciousness that worries and analyzes. When we speak of mind consciousness, we’re also speaking of body consciousness, because mind consciousness isn’t possible without the brain. Body and mind are simply two aspects of the same thing. Body without consciousness is not a real, live body. And consciousness can’t manifest itself without a body.

We can economize the energy by training our mind consciousness in the habit of mindfulness. Mindfulness keeps us in the present moment and allows our mind consciousness to relax and let go of the energy of worrying about the past or predicting the future.

怪不得有時在看有關佛法文章的過程中,身體會越來越放鬆,背是軟綿綿的。

We are influenced by the collective ways of seeing and thinking. That’s why selecting the people you are around is very important. It’s very important to surround yourself with people who have loving-kindness, understanding, and compassion, because day and night we are influenced by the collective consciousness.

鼓勵別人做自己不做的

好像很難似的。

Meditation

At the core of this meditation practice are two important principles derived from the instructions to Rahula. The first is honesty: the ability to be free of embellishment or denial, adding no interpretation to the disturbance actually present, while at the same time not denying that it’s there. An integral part of this honesty is the ability to see things simply as action and result, without reading into them the conceit “I am.”

The second principle is compassion — the desire to end suffering — in that you keep trying to abandon the causes of stress and disturbance wherever you find them. The effects of this compassion extend not only to yourself but to others as well. When you don’t weigh yourself down with stress, you’re less likely to be a burden to others; you’re also in a better position to help shoulder their burdens when need be. In this way, the principles of integrity and compassion underlie even the most subtle expressions of the wisdom leading to release.

It continually requires the strength of will to give up any attachment.

沒有得選擇是對not to attach 好好的鍛煉。當不是每時每刻都在選擇的時候,到了真的需要選擇時,是會很快做到決定的。

If you don’t learn to enjoy the meditation enough to keep at it consistently, you won’t grow familiar with it. If you aren’t familiar with it, insight into its consequences won’t arise.

Noting

Noting is an acknowledgement of what the body, heart, and mind are doing. For it to be effective, it has to be practiced with precision. For example, on waking from a fantasy, there is the first note: we recognize that we are arguing, planning, or lusting. Then there is further noting, which acknowledges what we are obsessing about. In the same way, if a sensation or feeling arises in the body, the first note is recognition, and the second and all subsequent notes are acknowledgements of what is really happening now. The attention is placed not on the word but on the experience: the feeling of a sensation, the feeling of an emotion. It is as though the intuitive intelligence sees through the word, experiencing the sensation or emotion directly. In this way conceptual thinking is brought into the service of intuitive intelligence, rather than continuing to obscure it.

If we want to experience things as they are, conceptual thinking about those things must come to an end. When thinking stops, we are right there.

Not only do we note sensations, emotions, wandering mind, and actions but also that category of thought that we experience as intention. An intention is thought laced with desire. It is the instigator of all actions of body, speech, and thought. Not all desires are unskillful. To note an intention gives us the time to acknowledge it as either wholesome or unwholesome. It gives us the opportunity to let go of those intentions that we discern as leading to dissatisfaction and empower those that will lead to contentment, such as the desire to meditate.

看,是為了不要。

Personality-view

The habit of viewing ourselves as a person is deeply ingrained in us. In Pali, that is called sakkaya-ditthi, which can be translated as “personality-view” or “the ego.” It means that we regard the five khandhas (groups)—body, feelings, perceptions, conceptions, and consciousness—as belonging to this person, as making up our identity. In investigating the personality-view, we do not grasp on to the perception of “no person” either. It is possible to take the concept of anatta (no self) and grasp that, and say, “There’s no self because the Buddha said there’s anatta!” But in that case we’re still grasping a perception. Grasping a perception of yourself as a nonself gets to be a bit ridiculous.

If you grasp on to the conditions you create, you will end up in the same place every time—suffering.

It’s intentional, for you are choosing what you are going to think. The important thing is not the thought, or even the quality of the thought—whether it’s stupid or intelligent, right or wrong—it’s the attention, the ability to listen to your deliberate thinking.

呵呵!清晰地看到了那塊deltoid 肌肉(是三合一,夠了)。

再看看,下臂的肌肉線條也隱若可見。

Self-acceptance

"When you're striving and the mind has an agenda to get somewhere, the body may resist and injury may occur," explains Faulds. However on the contrary, he notes, "True yoga starts with radical self-acceptance. You are fully present with what is, observing the self without judgment. When the body knows that the mind is kind, it will open and release."

放鬆而放鬆不到,太多的追求了。

"Instead of thinking 'How can I force this person's body into this position,' the approach should be 'How can this person's body express this pose right now?' Anyone can work on any pose as long as it's modified and broken down into the smallest pieces."

跟身體要和平共處。動作做到不做到一點也不重要,是心態。表面的動作,幫助不了什麼。身體柔軟了代表了什麼?是心打開了,可接納的事情更多,也不容易對什麼事情都抱怨一番。多了的精力,去做一些有意義的事情。靜靜地坐著休息也比抱怨來得好。

有些人只管抱怨,卻從來也沒有想過把事情解決(改變抱怨的習慣)。在此情況下,多數我都不會給機會他們說下去。說上千百次也是一樣(抱怨是說別人的不是,說來說去,別人都是一樣的。自己呢?)。倒不如好好呼吸,人就安靜下來了。

好像朋友跟我說他又留意到別人的姿勢不對,他自己呢?與其留意別人,倒不如放多點時間在自己身上或是家人那裡。他說是多啊!可效果呢?

Emotion

Stuffing our emotions makes us sick. It is important to feel what we feel either by talking it through with a trusted friend or writing in a journal.

It is energizing to get real with our true emotions.

Avoid labeling a feeling as bad or wrong or too negative. It’s refusing to admit to these feelings that becomes harmful to self.

真心耳朵難求,還相信有這存在。

身體

姿勢稍稍不對,身體就給我訊息。比以前忙碌了許多,身體時常要動做調節。開始有點明白明明是好事都不願意改,是因為壞姿勢給了一個舒服的錯覺,舒服是因為不需要時常動。要改,不可說是痛苦,是有點麻煩而已。

這個,有著進步,雙腿可以離頭部遠一點了。看著老師師範,他可以把身軀前後擺動的。希望在今年內把這個做好(上背需要鍛煉)。

Courage / Fear

courage and fearlessness are not the same-in fact, if we didn't have fears, we wouldn't need courage. Courage implies moving through fear.

朋友時常跟我說他需要勇氣來改變,我是不明白的。又不是大改變,細細的也需要這麼麻煩?!看到這段,好想知道他怕什麼。

對於我來說,少了這一程序,要學就學,要做就做,除非是我不想不願意。

the English word "courage" comes from the French coeur, meaning heart. One Sanskrit word for courage is saurya, which has the same root as the Sanskrit word for sun.

Raw courage, for one thing, is based on emotion, fueled by anger and desire.

Cooked or ripe courage, on the other hand, contains discipline, wisdom, and, especially, a quality of presence.

One of my teachers said that the great question to contemplate in any situation is, In what do you place your trust? He would say that if your trust is in something truly great, your sense of being will expand into that greatness. If your trust is in something limited, even in your own strength of body, mind, or will, it eventually lets you down.

舉手之勞

還以為是舉手之勞的事情,原來並不。朋友到了外地工作,要找房子,剛巧我有朋友在那裡,於是問他提供房產經紀的名單。沒有。他並沒有說不幫忙,可是我要的東西也沒有取得。不去想是什麼原因了,只覺得有點奇怪。

想起一些往事,人與人之間的感情,是很脆弱的。有所求,沒所求......一句話,某年某月。在時間線上游走,變了質,也是應該的。

幸好星期天又是能量天;如果不,加上這般的天氣,不氣餒才怪。

後話:做了活動筆記,這事情就過去了。可以沒有情緒地看這事件。

停頓

這個,就是我們要學的停頓位。向前走三步向後走三步,第四拍和第八拍就是這模樣了。

如果這是第四拍,第一拍動的是左腳。如果這是第八拍,下一個八拍的開始就是動右腳。明白了這些而不需要強記左右(不是老師告訴我的,可後來從他那裡證實了這理解是對的)。

美國也限制買米?!糧食短缺不知是真是假?

昨晚問爸爸家裡有多少袋米,兩袋(特價時買的)。某天跟爸爸開玩笑說我們快要吃太空人的食物了。

Listening

Yoga is listening, very much so. In fact it says in the Yoga Sutras that "The Observer became the observed."

Embrace

When you practice mindfulness you strengthen it. When there is anger, fear, depression let yoru mindfulness tenderly embrace fear and anger, (Thich Nhat Hanh shows one hand covering the other fist, like the mindfulness covering the fear). To those who don’t practice we cover up by consumption. We eat, drink, watch TV to forget our fear and anger. That is the way the majority or us deal with our suffering. But the Buddha advices us not to run away from our suffering. It is always there. Every time our fear, anger, suffering, emerge we take care of it, like a big sister taking care of baby sister (2 fist again) The heart of Buddhist practice is to do every thing mindfully which is very crucial for mindfulness and healing.

With mindfulness we change our patterns of behaviour. We have a strong tendencies in us called Vasanas – habit energy that pushes us to say and do things that are destructive. We are intelligent enough to know that saying such a thing is destructive, but we still say it and do it and we regret it later. That time mindfulness is very weak and habit is very strong. Although you don’t want to do it you still do, then you beat your chest, pull your hair and get angry with yourself. Next time you will not do it again. But because you don’t know how to transform habit energy you will do it and make the person suffer. So its very important to learn how to do everything in daily life mindfully so we can recognise habit energy when it manifests.

手拉手圍成圓圈,我看見你你看見我,可大家的身體接觸不到(除了左右兩位)。我跟你遙望打個招呼,你看得見而不給我反應;或者根本看不到。有人喜歡望著旁邊的一個,有人喜歡望著對面的一個,有人喜歡望向九十度的一個,多多選擇。

圓,就是這樣子的了。

Positive Self-Concept

What exactly is a positive self-concept? It is thinking of ourself as a worthy individual deserving of a wonderful life and fully capable of achieving it.

Think means to consciously be aware of what the affirmation means. Not thinking would be to repeat the affirmation out of habit while thinking about something else.

Ask Why Practise

It's no secret that we often do things for reasons we're totally unaware of; sometimes our unconscious motives become clear only after a good deal of self-reflection. So it's important to realize that questioning the intent of our practice inevitably leads us to inquire about the meaning of our life as well.

被人看見的

很感謝不相識的給予的鼓勵,我會努力的。你也是啊!

接納,抗拒

不接納也不需要抗拒。別人的,看就是看聽就是聽,不隨便給意見。什麼認同不認同,一定不能讓它產生。別人的,不需要我們的認同。當然壞事不在此列。

Writing Down

Negative attachment to the past is one of the main obstacles to surrendering to God Siva, because it congests the subconscious mind and thus makes a person reactive, preoccupied and prone to instinctive emotions such as impatience, frustration, anger, resentment and despair. In such states it is impossible to maintain an attitude of surrender and acceptance. Far too many things in our life are wrong to sustain the consciousness that Siva's world is perfectly all right! One tool Gurudeva gives to eliminate life's burdens is called vasana daha tantra--writing down memories of the past that are emotional and negative and burning them up. Writing them down brings them out of the subconscious mind, and burning them up dispels the emotion and gives us the sense that they are gone.

又是幾千年智慧的指引。當然要看寫時候的心態,負面一定不可以。回想,現代人有些真的很人心惶惶,不贊成寫和讀。這兩類人在我身邊都出現過。回看歷史,消滅書籍,都不知道發生過多少次了。目的?不讓人看和寫。

When we look inward in meditation, we are trying to see our soul nature, trying to see our Divinity, our superconscious. If the subconscious mind has a lot of unresolved matters in it, all we see is the subconscious mind. That's not much fun, so we don't look within very often. We keep distracting ourselves-- "Let's go out to a movie. What's on TV tonight?"--because what's inside of us isn't that enjoyable.

今天才跟朋友說不信不看不代表事情不存在。

Need to be Strong

If you have a weak mind and a weak body, you have weak principles.

Yoga is 95 percent practical. Only 5 percent is theory. Without practice, it doesn't work; there is no benefit. So you have to practice, following the right method, following the steps one by one. Then it's possible.

即是話,少說多做。

Yoga is possible for anybody who really wants it. Yoga is universal. Yoga is not mine. But don't approach yoga with a business mind-looking for worldly gain. If you want to be near God, turn your mind toward God, and practice yoga. As the scriptures say "without yoga practice, how can knowledge give you moksha [liberation]?"

食物放在面前,要自己伸手去把它拿著。好,可以把食物放到你的嘴裡,誰來消化?是你自己。

不需要看的觀察

我問朋友是否每次留意腳的擺放都是不對的,他說是。很久也沒有跟這朋友見面,可是憑他說的話,我就知道他的行為表現了。

自中學以來,肚的周圍就有肥膏了。可現在?嘻嘻!好想好想把相片貼出來。

No Control

Focusing on your ideas about what is supposed to happen as a result of your practice takes you out of the present moment and into an imagined future, which is the antithesis of yoga. It's natural to have hopes and aspirations, but what's most important is what you do now. On a practical basis, since we can influence but can't control what happens as a result of our efforts, insisting on results that may not happen is a setup for frustration. And anxiety or dissatisfaction over a perceived lack of results tends to keep the body's stress response system activated, undermining attempts at healing by lessening immune function, making sleep less restorative, shifting blood flow away from the internal organs, undermining wound healing, and so on.

每次跟朋友談起yoga 最後他都是沮喪收場的,原來如此。

看到就好

居然要看一些東西,要經過沒有即時接觸的渠道,那刻自言自語說了一句“有沒有搞錯”。過了一兩分鐘再想想,也沒有什麼的,看到就好。再深想,看不看都沒有所謂(更加不需要介意),人家不給你看的,就不需要看了,也不需要時時想著為何不給我看。

情緒起來,多麼的沒有意義。

Mind Control

對答好好看。我看control,不是不讓它發生(管不了),而是發生了不受它的影響。

靜安

大學云:「知止而后有定,定而后能靜,靜而后能安,安而后能慮,慮而后能得。」

安定安靜都不是的,怪不得叫人安靜下來人就不能安靜。沒有定不能靜更不能安。做不到,真不關乎技巧;是見解,錯了。智慧,在幾千年前已經出現,跟著來學就好。

自己去

我說的終是我的,與你無關,弄不好你以后還恨我,要明白鬚你自己去弄個明白。

很多情況下,會把別人的當了為自己的。看了一看就以為懂了,用也沒有用過怎知道懂與不懂。

活動日誌

排排排,他們好緊張啊!什麼的舞步全部不記得。上個星期還是好好的。壓力啊!編舞老師說我動作慢,差不多要聽了他的指令下一秒就要把調整完成。有時侯我怕太快會弄到團員,他們還不知道發生什麼事的時候事情可能已經過去了。現在想想,有些過程他們是不需要明白的(他們也沒有能力明白),知道結果就好。

發生了有趣場面,因為褲子過鬆,一下子掉到地上,可團員很快就把褲子拉好,繼續跳舞。她好專業啊!

到了最後兩次彩排,回來了。當然不是跳得太好(準備時間不夠),可整個隊形是有的,亂中有序。

家長們已經把我當一份子了,有蛋糕吃啊!是我不再行行企企。現在的我,再不是硬著頭皮,而是能鬆容指導他們。

某團員第一次叫我的名字啊!

跟老師談怎樣分左右,他說要利用顏色,例如貼紅色在右手上,不說左右而說顏色;我說看到顏色再做動作音樂已經走了。

老師又問我他上個星期教了什麼,對了,我是助理。

活動的安排,給了點意見,被接納了。其實一定要接納的,演出是為了觀眾。再好的東西沒有交流也是浪費。

我們說學員會把不同舞蹈中的動作做出來,老師反問他的學生(這裡我不是學生身份),為何他們不能把所學的反映出來。

搭著學員的肩膀跟她說話,她回應的還多。雖然年紀不小了,可她撫摸你臉龐時感受到的是柔軟。我們嘗試為他們打開可接觸的世界,他們讓我們感到心靈的慰藉。

發覺自己越來越主動,那個不也是導師嗎?主動跟他談話,可他不理睬我。不是他不願意跟我說話,應該是沒話可說。

老師說學員在動作與動作之間是沒有停頓的,可我們就有了(即興的時候)。

沒有喘氣

今晚走那長長的樓梯,沒有喘氣啊!如果沒有數錯的話,梯級數目大概有一百八十。

另,跟著人在行人道上跑(追巴士),都可以,沒有喘氣。

力量

build strength in your torso muscles, which support the weight of your spine, rib cage, and head against the pull of gravity. As you train the muscles around your shoulders to keep your arms in place, you're not only teaching yourself not to slump but also opening your chest so your lungs can expand more fully. And the increased range of motion you eventually experience in your hips means you distribute wear inside the joints over more of their surface, rather than consistently stressing only a small part of the cartilage lining the joint.

朋友說他練習想的是有一個好看的外表,從來也沒有這樣想過,想的是內裡的,不單單是靈性的東西。理念是小改變大改善。

Union

One beauty of yoga, which means "union," is that it diminishes an emphasis on one part of the body and asks us to spread our interest and respect everywhere.

當能尊重全部的時候,就不需要再分別。多好。

the intercostal muscles that connect the ribs. When these muscles are tight, which commonly happens when we cough and sneeze repeatedly or have poor posture, the rib cage's movement is restricted, and so is respiration.

怪不得呼吸順暢了這麼多,多做rib cage 有關動作的緣故。

一致

終於收到活動的照片了。看著相中每一個人的一致表情,很感動啊!

《離留記》

好像不錯,。第一次戲劇,就是這個劇團了(糊塗戲班)。

生命

生命是一路走一路發現自己的不足,接受了就能好好學習。不太喜歡改善自己這個詞。我們時常把改掉壞習慣視為改善自己,還未能做好,怎有地方可改善?!首先要培養出善才對。

如果要說一句,我會說“做好自己”。記得在領獎臺上說過的話“盡力而為”,還是在實行中。

Deeper Practise

what we really want to learn is how to incorporate our yoga practice into the rest of our lives and to respond appropriately to life's challenges without adding tension. It is at this level that yoga really becomes a deeper practice. You can be under tremendous stress and come back into experiencing your feet on the ground as though it were just another moment of Mountain Pose (Tadasana); or you can receive a big disappointment and be able to drop into your breath, realizing it's just another moment of practice, and allow the breath to move the feelings through your body.

When there is no added tension, there is the opportunity for liberation, to simply be with what arises in the moment. This is what is referred to in Zen as "beginner's mind," and it applies directly to your yoga practice.

there's a difference between "action"—the doing of the pose—and "friction"—unnecessary efforting.

place your awareness in the bones, feel the skeleton providing stability, and allow the nervous system to be neutral.

能感受骨的存在是一種很奇妙的感覺。

生活不是這樣的嗎!很多時候我會感應到呼吸(氣經過的部分,身軀在動),知道那一刻,人是安靜的。以前,總是心跳加快的時候才了知呼吸的存在。

Finding the balance between will and acceptance is part of what you are learning in your yoga practice, just as you are learning what is the proper balance between pain and relaxation. One of the benefits of doing yoga is you begin to develop the intuitive art of finding balance in any life situation.

喜歡站不穩的時候,因為又是學習的機會。如果一下子就做到的時候,可能只是“好彩”。

The difference between intention and willfulness in this context is that intention implies flexibility and gentleness, while willfulness is absolute, unswerving, and rigid. Both intention and willfulness can be desirable, but for most of your yoga practice and for your life, intention is the more balanced, healthier approach.

有了方向,哪怕要走多遠,知道目的地就在前面。生命不是競賽,沒有人跟你拼。生命裡的東西是不會被人拿走的,有的只有更多的分享。好好的走,發現越來越多,哪怕失去呢?!

flavor as Savasana: You are alert, but the mind is not attaching to anything; it is just appropriately responsive.

Don't waste energy creating tension, judging the pose, or wishing you were somehow different than you are in this moment.

Commitment

朋友說去上課是commitment,是這樣的嗎?對他一定是。找到自己真的喜歡的,是不需要說什麼的commitment。對我來說,commitment 總有勉強的成份。

重複

有一件事情在重複著,可我的回應大大不同。看到自己成長了。不過“嘥氣”這兩個字都是說得太多,可也是反映現實啊!其實也沒有浪費的,得著的是自己。一次再一次,鞏固已知道的。也是學習的過程。更加發覺應用到自己身上還不算得到,能用在別人身上才算合格。努力在做。

一切都是做了就有,沒做就沒有

很喜歡這兩句話。

星期三

很快,明天又到星期三。是麵包日,買什麼好呢?

今天又被問如何站好,四個角(big toe, baby toe and sides of the heel),說了千千萬萬遍。其實他想要什麼的答案?!不能這樣站好,當然有原因。不是說用四個角就可以,要練習。要做heel up and down,要做腳趾wide stretch and flexed,要做腳掌的flexed and stretch。

什麼時候做?看電視的時候可以,看書的時候可以,就像我在打字,腳也做以上說的。

Foot

The foot really has three arches, the lateral, medial, and transverse arch. The lateral or outer arch consists of the outer edge of the foot, including the baby toe and the fourth toe. The lateral arch supports the medial arch, which, in a healthy foot, would not touch the floor.

Ideally, in all of your standing poses you’ll balance pronation and supination by keeping your arches lifted while your inner heels and the bases of your big toes stay grounded.

If your knee points toward or even to the inside of the big toe, it causes pronation, which can’t be corrected without realigning the whole leg.

As you increase your awareness and control of your feet, you’ll deepen your understanding of an important yogic lesson, that of seeking balance. You will learn to find the balance point between lifting up and pressing down, working hard and letting go, moving and being still. Keep on practicing, and one day you will find yourself at the calm center point of all these opposing forces.

people often neglect their toes, especially when they're wearing shoes. "It makes a difference when your feet are articulate," she says. "In yoga, we learn to move every single toe individually." As Lee learned from personal experience, a little bit of yoga goes a long way to building strong feet and ankles. "You could just do one or two poses for your feet and ankles every day, and it takes just two minutes," she says. "You don't have to do a whole giant foot program."

Walking on "flat tire" feet leads to compression in the axle joints (ankles), strain on the drive shaft (the spine), a collapsed and painful posture—and low gas mileage!

flat feet, the lack of arch support causes the inner ankle bone (the base of the tibia) to collapse in and down. Once the inner ankle drops, the inner groin at the top of the inner leg often also collapses. In turn, the weakness of the inner thighs leaves the lower back vulnerable to compression.

the key to creating strong arches is to extend the foot, stretching and making space in the skin and in the muscles and connective tissues that join the 26 bones of each foot. To create malleability in the foot, we begin by stretching it lengthwise and extending it out laterally.

the soles of the feet and the pelvic floor mirror each other. Elasticity and postural tone in the feet help determine tone in the pelvic floor. Especially as we age and the weight of the internal organs draws them down inside the abdominal compartment, building good tone and lift in the feet helps tone the perineal muscles and prevent gravity from getting the best of us.

手與手掌

今天被人問手(hand) 與手掌(palm) 的分別。實實在在的事情不去明白,而花時間在虛無縹緲的事情上。什麼也學不會,總有原因。手手腳腳是身體,不去好好跟它們溝通,它們不會主動來幫助我們的。

已經知道了不知道一些需要知道的東西而不加緊學習,無藥可救。我有想過畫圖的,不過都是不好花心機。

適合不適合

適合不適合是很難定義的。剛剛收到人事顧問電話(見他們已經是去年七月的事),她說有一工作頗適合我的。看了資料,如果給我自己選擇,我不會申請。不是不喜歡那工作,而是我達不到他們所寫的要求,沒有一個專業資格。沒有資格,不代表我不會,可是很難令相信資格的人相信事實(時常認為如果有專業資格的人就不會做那些工種了,瑣瑣碎碎)。

無論如何,這都是一個好消息。

對工作沒有什麼的要求,不太煩人就好。

人事顧問提醒,要我準備好如何回答僱主的問題,就是為何我停了這麼多個月的工作。take a break 不是一個很好的解釋嗎?!當然背後一定有原因,可我不會在背後說人的,特別是前主管。我所知的情況是,當我離開後,部門的headcount 是少了一個。其實也不用想什麼(真的沒有想過什麼),大公司的運作就是這樣,沒有特別。

今天午飯的時候(其實是一個早餐),我在想,現在可以寫一個十年工作回顧篇了,什麼的負面看法都應該消失。

沙門果經註疏

清楚地領會就是廣泛地、正確地、平衡地了知(samantato, ammà, sama§ và pajànana§ sampajàna§),那本身就是正知。

走路、站立、坐著、入睡、醒來、說話或沉默的時候,他以正知而行

青豆炒花枝片

問你一個問題,如果在你面前有一碟青豆炒花枝片,當你拿起筷子,你會選擇青豆還是花枝片?我的答案是花枝片。

在我認為,如果你的選擇是青豆,你會是一個不太懂得享受的人。為什麼?你是一個會保留好東西的人,總愛把好的東西留著,不捨得享用。

但是你有沒有想過,冷了的花枝片是不美味的。並且花枝片的數量總比青豆的少,如果你不在第一時間享用它,別人便會把它放進自己的肚子裡。當你發覺碟裡只剩下青豆,那已經是太遲了點。

如要享受,請緊記把好的東西放在最前的位置。

變了。物質的享受對我來說,一點也不重要。花枝片,難消化,少吃為妙。

學習

修學佛法的捷徑當是首先依止善知識,獲得穩固的見地后,再學習經論。這裡所說的“見地”是指對法性認可后而自然安住,非指語言文字、意識分別上的“相似見地”。真正的見地一旦確立,足以令學人解脫無疑,學人再學經論時便會發現無論佛說哪部經,哪個法門,無不直接或間接地開顯該見地,因而更對法性確定無疑,乃至進一步地任持。隨著實修的進一步深入,見地越來越通徹,學人便能夠融會貫通一切經論,知道哪些是了義,哪些是不了義,哪些法門直接,哪些法門間接,其中次第如何。至此方知學習經論完全是為了眾生而學,為弘法利生而學,這才是真正的學習經論。

在我來說,所有的學習都是這樣子的。時常說要找一個好老師,並不是我的要求高,而是能遇到好老師,對他的言行不懷疑,有助學習。

躺著,下背沒有空間讓我把手放進去。很好。它是越來越強壯了,老了不怕駝背。也發覺,稍稍調整肩膀,它跟耳朵成直線啊!

反省

As an experience of uneasiness, it can be a call for reflection, asking you to pay careful attention to your actions or decisions, or to reconsider a situation. It may well be your intuition warning you to be cautious. Unfortunately, most struggles with fear are of the irrational, repetitive, imagined variety.

每做一次,就能向前走一步。大步小步也沒有關係,能走就好。

it is your belief in the perception and your interpretation of its implications for your well-being that control the level of fear you experience.

如果遇到有人說我想得太多,絕對相信。好像有段時間也沒有說“你不明白我”這句話,現在看,說這話的時候又何嘗明白對方。堅持無謂的己見真的很無謂。

Your life becomes more integrated because you are no longer trying to deny or avoid what is true.

越來越感受到接納就是動力。

With mindfulness practice, you learn to see how the untrained mind is agitated by the human condition and how not to allow this general anxiety to fuel your fear in a specific situation. You also gain tolerance for the unpleasantness of uncertainty and also the naturalness of your own imperfection. You have confidence that "life is like this." You cannot and are not supposed to miraculously fix it; rather, you gain the insight that happiness and peace come from relating to life just as it is.

Some individuals so habitually view the world from their various fears that they are referred to as living a fear-based life. If you are such a person or know such a person, you know well what this means. There is very little mental rest for such a person, because life seldom seems safe, even just temporarily. You continually mistrust your judgment or question the reliability of others, or both. You perpetually second-guess yourself and also others, always seeking yet one more opinion or assurance. You may change your mind frequently or endlessly postpone making decisions in order to seek more information.

Happiness

Instead of wishing that some poses were different, we can get a taste of true happiness—a groundedness that is not shaken by feelings that stem from external activity, like the fear of going upside down in Sirsasana (Headstand). Even when our arms quiver and our hips whine, as long as we can stay awake and inquisitive to the process, we can learn to experience happiness.

喜歡老師的課,其中一個原因就是不知他會做什麼。他的sun salutation,每次可以不一樣。很欣賞這個做法,可訓練我們的專注力,一定要聽他說的話。

正面

一個口說要變得正面的人,為何分享的總是負面的事情?說一次還不夠還要多說幾次,真的有幫助嗎?!還說關心別人,逼著別人接收負能量就是不仁慈的做法啊!

我願意

本來就存在身邊的美好,直到現在才看得到,只因為,我願意──

只要願意,就能承擔自己:不是對自己的賭氣或放棄,而是無條件、不帶憎愛的完全接納自己。

只要願意,就能改變自己:不是逼著自己認同另一個價值觀、或是達到什麼標準,而是放下自己對完美的錯誤認知。

只要願意,我們就會發現:自己原來早已處於最幸福、最合適的環境裡,即便不是原來的想望,但卻出乎意料地遠遠勝過一切的預設。

今天看到橙色小番茄。

讓我找到了﹐就是這個﹐做完的時候﹐感覺腰部週圍發出的熱力。老師強調這個動作不可以勉強來的﹐要量力而為。捉不到足部就不能勉強了。

還不能夠把腿伸直(可以的話手觸足),不過把頭抬起比以前沒有那麼困難了(是學會了怎樣把頸放鬆下來)。

In standing poses, for instance, creating space between the toes helps us open through the legs and into the hips.

真的是小改變,大改善。昨天也留意到左右腳的第四隻腳趾,它開始可以四平八穩了。

Leg Movement

以前也寫過這個動作,現重溫。看似容易,其實不。重點就是腳的擺動由下盤開始,hips 要好好緊貼地面,動作不用太快,也不好把腳踢上來(腳不用力的)。腳上來時,肚臍要往下壓。

手腳也可以同時間做提升。





In Light on Yoga B.K.S. Iyengar says UPP is “wonderful for reducing fat round the abdomen, strengthens the lumbar region of the back, and tones the abdominal organs.”

看似不動的地方反而得到最大的好處(其實是表面不動內裡在動的),所以我們要知道每個動作的作用,如果不是的話,練習了等於沒有練習。就好像老師時常跟我們說,我們並不是單單的躺下,我們要做適當的事情。

腿伸直的時候,腳跟成flexed;然後tip toe 到地面上去。另一種訓練hamstring 的方法,一上一落,contract 及stretch 都做了。如果contract 的部分做得好,伸展得更理想。

if your psoas pair is weak, as it likely is. You can expect two things to happen as you swing your legs: One, you’ll unconsciously assist the psoas by tightening your rectus abdominus; and two, your low back will arch away from the floor.

For a greater challenge, reach your arms overhead along the floor, with your palms facing up.

原來這樣是難度高一點的了,在不知不覺間升了級。老師現在多叫我們這樣做。

回應,反應

不是我們可以作選擇的,要學習成習慣。當刻的一瞬一閃就過,哪容許我們想。

事與理

事與理是密不可分的,事上做到了,理就會現前;理上真正了解,事上就會展現。

還是要自己踏實地走,一步一腳印,走多少,就受用多少

起稿

朋友問寫東西會起稿嗎?不會。會重看一次然後修改嗎?不會。看只是為了有時侯打拼音選錯了字。寫第一句的時候是不知道往下去寫什麼的。如果習慣了寫東西要起稿,那麼說話呢?也可以起稿嗎?!

人生如舞臺,表演就是表演,錯了就是錯了。彩排,就是準備。可彩排也需要很認真的,錯了,被人罵。彩排做得好,表演時錯了一步也能繼續下去,否則,停下來,影響了整體。經驗告訴我,在表演時別人錯了也需要作出調整來配合整體。

方法

朋友說我有我的方法,我說那些我在用的都不是我的方法。例如跟老師學的是他的方法,可我並不是模仿(模仿是死死的)。

因為方法不是我的,我懂感恩。

Awake

We awaken from identification with our thoughts. Everybody who is not awake spiritually is totally identified with and run by their thinking mind – the incessant voice in the head. Thinking is compulsive: you can’t stop,or so it seems. It is also addictive: you don’t even want to stop,at least not until the suffering generated by the continuous mental noise becomes unbearable. In the unawakened state you don’t use thought,but thought uses you. You are,one could almost say,possessed by thought, which is the collective conditioning of the human mind that goes back many thousands of years. You don’t see anything as it is,but distorted and reduced by mental labels, concepts, judgments, opinions and reactive patterns. Your sense of identity, of self,is reduced to a story you keep telling yourself in your head.Me and my story : this what your life is reduced to in the unawakened state. And when your life is thus reduced,you can never be happy for long, because you are not yourself.

This false self is never happy or fulfilled for long. Its normal state is one of unease, fear, insufficiency, and nonfulfillment. It says it looks for happiness, and yet it continuously creates conflict and unhappiness. In fact,it needs conflict and enemies to sustain the sense of separateness that ensures its continued survival.

Life is always now. Whatever happens,whatever you experience, feel,think, do - it’s always now. It’s all there is. And if you continuously miss the now – resist it, dislike it, try to get away from it, reduce it to a means to an end, then you miss the essence of your life,and you are stuck in a dream world of images,concepts,labels,interpretations,judgments – the conditioned content of your mind that you take to beyourself. And so you are disconnected from the fullness of life that is the “suchness” of this moment. When you are out of alignment with what is,you are out of alignment with life.

生命也說alignment 的。

All that is required of you is to be in a state of attentive listening. Don’t just listen with the head. Listen with your entire body, so to speak. Feel the aliveness, the animating presence, throughout the body as you listen.

舒肩

這個動作原來是幫助肩膀的伸展。初次練習的時候,不懂做,導師走來幫忙。現在懂了。

今天跟同事談這個,原來真的有人做不到這動作的。

昨天在地鐵月臺看見有人做這個,可他的下背卻明顯地向前彎。有點想走前去告訴他這樣很傷脊椎的。

上個星期跟學員做這個,她告訴我右肩膀痛(不知何時打了針),我跟她說要動的是左肩膀(我們做的方向跟圖中的相反),右肩膀怎會痛。她明白過來,好好跟我做動作。我問她可以把手伸直一點嗎,幫她在手踭的位置托了一下,得了。

朋友跟我說大腿痛,所以什麼也不做。其他不痛的地方可以練習的。

安全運動

A healthier hamstring stretch is to lie on your back and hold one leg in the air, keeping shoulders, head, and hip flat on the floor and back straight. Keep your other leg straight and flat against the floor too.

在家都是多做這個好了,一定錯不了。

Hips Opener

開始的時候,可以坐著做相同的。

盤骨是身體裡最大的骨頭,也是chakra 的起點,怎可以不好好對待它。能否腳踏實地坐得好,也是看它。




Many students also begin with the misconception that all versions of Lotus, like the challenging bound Half Lotus in Ardha Baddha Padmottanasana, require flexible knees. But the real key to success lies in the hips.

The tiniest greed can manifest itself violently as an injury, and even a little tweak can cause a major setback. So go easy.

Most students at this point tend to drop the right knee toward the ground and let the right foot slide down on the left thigh, but these actions don't help open the right hip. Instead, keep the right knee lifted and try to draw it in toward your body's centerline. Aligning the leg in this way concentrates the opening in the right hip and protects the knee from inappropriate twisting.

在那裡跌倒,在那裡站起

很喜歡這兩句話,練習的時候就是這樣了。站不穩,很平常。到了某處,知道不能前進,稍為後退,站穩一點,又可以向前了(這就是伸直的方法,開始的時候總是曲的,雖然我們能做到一開始就伸直,可我們不會這樣做)。進步,就是這般練習而來。

知足

一般人之所以會對生活起煩惱或感到苦,主要是來自於是非取捨的觀念太重、難知足、比較的心太強,總認為問題的發生,癥結點不在自己的身上

在感受到「為什麼別人就不會吃到這種苦」的前提下,最好把即將對外發洩的怨氣往內收攝一下,平心靜氣的讓自己把事情的來龍去脈細細回想,問問自己的起心動念所執著的事物究竟是為了別人、還是純粹只是為了自己

時常拿別人做自己的例子,也是一種分別心。看到別人所擁有的,是一個結果。想得到一些,一定要自己付出努力過。

拿著一些所謂的信念,而怒了親人,真的是愚蠢。他們做過什麼傷害在你的身上呢?!怒,做了心的奴隸。

Psoas Muscle

you cannot stretch or strengthen the psoas until it is capable of change. When the psoas is stuck in contraction stretches can tighten the muscle even more. When the psoas is weak it cannot strengthen until the muscle can contract.

所有的肌肉都應該是這樣的。

老師的ground work 也能活動到這塊肌肉的。







crunch 我們只做這麼多(手放到頭的後面,手踭打開),不做sit-up 的。目的是強化背部和腹部的肌肉。

呵呵!是我近來跟朋友說的話。時常說活動身體有很多的選擇,不要勉強自己做自己沒有喜歡的。他說活動後,感覺身體好了。我說哪有活動身體的對身體不好的。他說他要試試看活動適合不適合自己,我說哪有不適合的活動(除非身體有某方面的受傷),只有喜歡不喜歡。

情緒

很多時;人的念頭、想法往往受過去的經驗、潛意識、集體意識 (matrix’s consciousness)、習氣、性格、或者依佛家理論是受潛藏在阿賴耶識 (ālaya-vijñāna) 的種子影響,當條件成熟時、或因環境的刺激,這些想法或念頭便走出來了。而這種想法影響了一個人的情緒,情緒推動了這個人的意志,意志決定了這個人的行動。

看得越多越發覺情緒是不需要多加理會的,當然對著一個被情緒支配的人,就要多留意了。

昨晚大風大雨,今天可放晴了。都說情緒如天氣,煩惱也煩惱不了。

活動日誌

還沒有開始老師就來問我上次教的如何跳,他說他不記得。跳給他看,他說他會這麼教的嗎?望著他,我對自己有信心。是他不記得(那麼這是新的一隻舞了)。他還是好疑惑的,於是我說是我做得不漂亮。後來跳的也是這些動作。

留意到一個學員會對著牆說話,不知道他是否有自閉症的呢?

兩個人做動作,一高一低,老師告訴我學員學著我啊!聽老師的聲音好像很愉快似的。

第一次遇到要上德育課的時候,老師教導男學員手的擺放,說對方是女性來啊!做導師的真的要眼看四方耳聽八方。

老師叫彈琴老師一起來跳舞,他不願意。

看老師如何幫學員做lunge,原來是拉拉他們後面的腳。可是我還不敢這樣,怕一拉他們就跌倒。

指導學員怎樣站直(她靠bar 做單腳站),這個我懂啊!很簡單,足跟小腿成九十度,臀不外翻,肩膀兩邊平衡,頭望前;脊椎就能自動變得直的了。

人的身體構造很有趣,做到wided leg forward bend 的(雙腳向橫成一字馬,肚碰到地面),可他做不到平衡。

記步舞,還有閒情留心老師的舞姿。

在電車上

在電車上的我居然被在街上走的學員見到,真有趣。我們不斷揮手直至看不到大家,好開心的。

課堂體驗

老師說都是舊同學了,來一些比較power 的。前前後後,後後前前,都可以。jump(standing forward bend 到downward facing dog 及相反)也難不到我,沒有砰砰作聲,後面跳到前面的做得比較好。

由於動作太快,沒有時間留意腳的擺放,可很快就被自己發覺了。真的,不用望,身體自會感應得到。這是回應的一種訓練。

做完shoulderstand,腰很累,睡在地上腰的部分不能放到地面上去。做了雙人方式的呼吸練習,幾分鐘,腰不累了。

upward dog,雖然還是用了肩膀的力,可也感覺到腰的力量。

左膝的靈活度不比右邊。

腿的肌力有了,躺著做single leg raising 有關動作的時候,伸直在地的一條腿能比較固定地緊貼地面。

老師叫我們做downward facing dog 的時候,不好把力全放到手那邊去。

豬潤牛肉

很久沒有吃維記的出品,今天買了外賣。三間店鋪,外排了超過三十人。

邊吃邊流汗。

懷舊麵包(快樂出品)。邊吃邊覺得很滿足啊!滿嘴都是砂糖。

再看看,麵包跟我笑啊!

本來想吃朱古力蛋糕的,不過看到中間那層奶油,放棄了。

No No

千萬不要被人這樣坐啊!要的話,在上的那個尾椎對尾椎地躺在上面,頭也千萬不要躺到別人的頸椎上。

學習身體結構,對身體安全是一件好事。可能是媽媽的行動不便,令我對身體更加關心。現在做的都是為了老來做準備。

Alignment

又是alignment,很長氣。學習就是漫漫長路,要學,永遠也學不完。指的是最簡單的事情。

用腿不用膝

剛剛在練習用腿不用膝來把腳伸直,得了。手放在大腿上感受肌肉的活動,很有趣。

這個方法從第一課已經知道了,可做到才是近來的事。肌肉(不要健身而來的肌肉),需要時間去建立,急也急不來。不急,可要練習,時常記掛在心。

關心

要珍惜能關心別人的機會。

呼吸時能活動到的肌肉,想肥都難。

Not to Feel

朋友時常告訴我做不到這個那個,又說那裡累那裡痛,我的回應是重要嗎?!重要的是做了什麼而引發累和痛,重要的是有否用上了正確的方法。

Be Myself

If you happen to adopt another "meditative pose", then you end up in a new bubble that can inhibit your awareness and meditation and become a burden.

The realisation that you don’t need to live by ideals and poses, that you can depend on yourself, along with the understanding that meditation does not need props - is fundamental to our teaching, which is inspired by the Tantric tradition. When I went on my first yoga course at this school, I found I could be myself. There was nothing to live up to and noone tried to convince me of anything. The result was that I was able to relax and experience the effects of yoga.

文字中說的,是我第一堂課所得。

Listen to the instructions without making effort or using your willpower. Just follow the instructions with interest and awareness, and let the rest happen by itself.

If for a moment you forget to follow the instructions, then do not try to remember what happened at that particular place in Yoga Nidra; just follow the now. When you get carried away by a thought it may easily turn into a dream that carries you into sleep. Because you are in a deep state, it is quite normal for this to happen. As soon as you discover it, then return to the instructions. In this way you get used to staying aware in a deep state.

在活動裡,要幫忙學員做好動作,返回跳的部分,又可以跟上。這是一個進步。

能夠學習就會有福有慧,不想學習那就會煩惱多多了
修行的過程就是目的。
直心,是指心中沒有一定要表現的意見,沒有自我的成見。沒有要表達什麼,只是隨緣應化,隨機攝化。
精進是量力而為,盡心盡力,不斷地努力,而非一時的盲從、亦非情緒的衝動。
要時刻記住,照著方向去努力才是最重要的;不要老盯住目標、成果,須知此刻努力的過程就是目標,當下努力的付出就是結果

心意

訓練心意靜止的用意是要簡化事情,當事情被簡化時,我們就可以看得見了,心意就能安頓下來休息了。而當心意得以休息時,它就漸漸地變得明亮了,內在和它本身都是如此,知識於是就生起來了。但是,如果我們把事情弄得很複雜,如果我們讓心意混淆著景象、聲音、香氣、味道、碰觸和意念,那就是黑暗,知識就沒有機會生起。

一旦我們放下了自己的重擔,我們就能用輕快的腳步走路,甚至還能手舞足蹈

行、住、坐、臥

在很多的佛法文章裡都會看到這四個字。越發覺,越簡單,得到的越多。

增長

是我的下眼睫毛。

想起以前,塗一層的眼睫毛液也不夠,還黑色加藍色。

或者明白

昨晚突然想到朋友的擔心,開始找到一些頭緒。她看我做的是在逃避,說的又很玄。其實一點也不,只是她沒有接觸過。邀請她來看看我做什麼又不願意,沒有辦法。

從來沒有以往的踏實過。

感染

爸爸昨晚叫媽媽坐得好一點。呵呵!被感染了。寫了這一句,感受溫馨。

人大了

上次跟朋友談起,人大了理應更開放,可是我們卻漸漸不能接受他人,看不順眼的事情越來越多,以為這就是長大。我也有這樣的想法,可現在有點不同了。開始放眼望去,世界多美好。

Consistency

Consistency is necessary if you want to reach the essential. All roads lead to Rome, it is said. Yes, but you have to choose one road to get there. It is not knowledge of all kinds of methods and therapies that matters, but knowledge of yourself. What matters first and foremost is stability, investigation through one's meditation and gaining insight. I see how difficult it is for people who have tried all sorts of things to take the final steps and break through the wall isolating us from a deeper insight and an experience of a greater reality - they become rich with understanding, with opinions and theoretical knowledge, yes, even with certain experiences, but the eye of the needle has become too small for them to pass through.

發覺,意見不好給,只管看是最好的。讓我想起“信願行證”,證不是要去證明我們相信的(信裡沒有懷疑),而是自己真的走在路上了。在路上,欣賞沿途風光,多好。

Do

The importance of practical and tangible exercises, rituals and meditations is emphasised. It is something you do. Theory alone is regarded as a kind of by-product, arising from the communication with those who do not yet know the finer states. It is the personal and direct contact between people that counts, when this knowledge is passed on.

Try not to be other than you normally are, when you sit down to meditate, you don't need to act holy, good or 'positive'. Begin the meditation as you are. It is unimportant for the outcome of the meditation whether you feel happy, unhappy, tired or full of energy. Or whether you are restless, shaken or apathetic. Sit down and begin the meditation wherever you are, the way you feel.

The idea of karma yoga—the yoga of right action—is a centerpiece of Krishna's message in the Gita. He teaches the importance of striving to do the right thing simply because it is the right thing, not because of the spiritual merit it might bring.

咖啡

今天的咖啡,給了我好滿足的感受。或者是昨天沒有喝的關係。涼快的天氣,不太人多的地方,都是令人愉快的因素。

Open

The ability to remain open is very important for intellectual work, but can also be useful in every activity of daily life, and in any kind of creativity. When you don't so easily let yourself become blocked by limiting ideas, you can better put your strength into achieving your real goals.

就像上次我們要扮海洋生物,我想的是我能力做到的,於是做了不合題目的青蛙。

剛剛在電梯裡,感受到什麼是站得牢牢的。力從盤骨而來。這只是一個開始,要更努力學習。

Meditation

Meditation helps us meet and overcome the unconscious attitudes that we carry around and which time and again crop up and determine our everyday life: A lack of motivation, a reluctant or excessively reserved attitude, a low profile (when you hide yourself instead of doing what you really want), thoughts full of hate or doubt ...

But we do not get anywhere if we become frustrated or suppress our thoughts - on the contrary - and if we are given to examining and analysing them and calling them good and bad, then we just cling to them and become self-involved.

想要什麼

發覺這問題問得不太對,根本不需要問的。問了,就把可能性縮小了。自以為不想要,原來就是需要。如果在路途上,就不需要再問。還沒有上路的,只管邁開腳步就是了。朋友又問我如何做?我說想想每天如何出門,就是那樣。

不由你說

有些事情的定義,是不由我們說的。如果硬要套上自己的想法,兩頭不到岸。能領略多少就用多少,懂了再學習更多。一步一步來,比只想怎樣怎得實際。

朋友說他想像某某一樣,我說就跟著某某的方法去做。他不出聲。肯定他是知道的,就是不行動。他的話,由煩厭變得接受了;不是認同他的話,而是再起情緒也無補於事。他千方百計找出自己做不到做不好的地方,而不會用心花一分鐘去學習正確的方法。這麼,我可以做什麼?!

他問怎去停止一個壞習慣,我說倒不如問如何開展一個好的。有了好的,哪會有時間想不好的。

不願相信

因為現實太真實了,很可怕。活在夢裡多舒服,想怎樣就怎樣,醒來再夢。如果嘗過相信的滋味,夢,要不要也沒有所謂。半夢半醒,最難受。

No Expectation

Wisdom teaches us, that we are more capable of meeting the spiritual if we have no expectations - that it is far more desirable to experience what is really happening, rather than the ideas we, with our limited awareness, are capable of forming in advance.

It is about you who experiences, and not what you experience, whether inwardly or outwardly.

Some people claim that everything is yoga; I’ve written it in my book myself, ‘there is nothing called yoga - it’s called life’. But that depends on how you’re seeing it. It’s not true in every connection. Of course not - you must be able to see what’s what. Otherwise you’re doing yoga a bad favour.

If you want to go all the way, it’s important not to hang on to all kinds of experiences or ‘abilities’. Some people, for instance, get carried away when they discover that they can see another person’s aura. Others begin doing so called ‘healing’. People get fascinated by the experiences and lose sight of the aim. But we can go further than that.

Mind over matter they say, meaning that your thinking can influence the body. But it’s my experience that energy is over mind. So if you master your energy, at the same time you master your mind and your body.

值得不值得

時常聽到人說我值得擁有這些不值得擁有那些,覺得這思想很恐怖。有什麼值得不值得?!物質的,有錢就去買;非物質的,要靠自己努力才可以得到。得到了,還有什麼值得不值得的成分?!

清晰

做事情想有效果真的要有一個清晰的目標,有了,很多額外的東西也可同時得到;可目標只有一個(最好)。

Knowing or Guessing

When you express an opinion or a judgement over others. When you interpret what other people say, your teacher for instance. Do you know it, or are you guessing?

In Patanjali's Yoga Sutras various hindrances for self-realisation are mentioned. One of them is misunderstanding. That the students quickly interprets the instructions of the teacher after their own thinking, so as to avoid giving up ingrained ideas. This gives no insight, but stops you from taking in something useful.

"Keep to that which works and do not deviate into conceptions."

Living on other people's fantasies by habitually consuming news and entertainment in the media, can limit your drive and independence, and this creates fear.

Process

The ritual is there in order to light the light of consciousness over and over again, so that it can burn high above the theorising and know-all attitude of the limited mind, and offer you the possibility to experience.

To make the light flow and let the purifying flame of Sushumna burn clearly - what else could be the purpose?

A process, a ritual or a cycle, created by a composition of certain yoga- and meditation methods, must follow definite laws in just the same way as composed music. The methods work together and strengthen and deepen each other's effect.

It doesn't matter whether music is based on notes written down or on improvisation, you have to get in touch with its essence. That is the basis - but it is the musicians' ability to communicate and the openness of the participants, which makes the music come alive and turns it into an enriching experience.

If you leave the concert you hear no music, and if one or more of the spectators were to demand, on grounds of principle or for any other reason, that something else should be played or that it should be played differently, or with another beginning, because they already know some of the opening stanzas, or because they want what they're used to, or that they would like to relate to the piece of music in a theoretical way instead of listening - then it would be impossible to get the creating and experiencing process going. Then the whole thing would die in a repetitive and mechanical performance.

重複練習並不是把動作再做一次,而是一個新的體驗。覺得又是一樣的時候,就是開始沒有學習的動力了。

A process in the Tantric meaning of the word is a cycle with a beginning, a sequence that develops and changes, and a conclusion - it is something you live through.

During the initiation, the process should bring the aspirant further than he or she was when it started. If you don't reach beyond former limitations, it is not an initiation.

a process where something happens - a transformation of concepts and states.

看到這裡,終於明白為何朋友不知道什麼是過程。

Every part of the process prepares for the next and opens the door to go further. In this way a sensitivity and an ability to go deep is gradually built up, so that you can pick up and use the finer "keys" to the dimensions of your being at the end of the sequence.

The process doesn't only function because of the exercises you do, but also because you are doing something different than usual - free from habits, routines and thought patterns about what is possible and not possible.

就是不相信

要我行動,令我相信吧!好好好,不動就不動,煩惱是你的。

扭曲

發覺,有些人是需要活在被扭曲的世界裡。是怎麼樣的感覺?可能跟我們一樣,沒有分別。

知道不想要的可不知道想要的。真有趣的話,知道什麼不想要,餘下的便是想要的了。

最後的一顆

在二千年買的,重0.21 carat,三千多。很喜歡那條“硬硬”的鏈子。

下背

怪不得!摸一摸,下背的肥肉沒有了(肌肉支撐了脊椎,坐及走路都輕快了)。如果可以把腰兩旁的都變為肌肉,那麼對練習一定有好大的幫助。

今天

今天的天氣令人累,什麼也不想做。連喝咖啡看書都沒做。

這就四千多了

第一顆鑽石(0.28 carat, top wesselton colour, pique 1 clarity & brilliant cut),在荷蘭買的。那時候的想法是女人一定要有這些。十年前的事了。

滿足

原來朋友一點也不明白我(一早就知道)。誰說過去的生活不滿足,物質都有物質給我的快樂,我是絕對不會錢花了卻埋怨的。生活上的改變,不是討厭以前的。現在回想以前做過的一切,挺好。沒有過往,一定沒有現在。人大了,總不能每個星期去購物,很累人。在家不好嗎?能有朋友可以談天的(不是講是非),真的愉快。沒的話,看看書寫寫東西,學習一下,多好。

做了事後埋怨或後悔,為了什麼?!以為別人活得比你好,根本就是一樣。看看自己能不能找到過程中的樂趣。

寫到這裡,好想好想跟自己說一聲“我愛你”。不是自戀,真的愛上了現時的我。

不動,那圍繞著的力量很強,已經忘記了原來自己也能動的。

Arm Raise

新體驗。老師做arm raise 的時候膝是曲的(在呼氣時),跟著做可不知道做來做什麼,一點感覺也沒有。今天坐著做arm raise,感覺來了。原來氣的感覺不只在雙手,還在脊椎那裡。站起來試一試,脊椎放鬆的感覺原來是那樣的(曲膝是順應脊椎放鬆而來)。

跟著做side bend,做得更好(要飛出去了)。一環扣一環,時常有驚喜。

畫公仔

居然有人叫我把他的樣子畫下來,這麼賞面,畫畫畫。不好意思,不懂畫頭髮;臉龐畫得太大。搞不好啊!再望望,有點像,“收貨”。

跟著去做

朋友問我會否跟著去做別人覺得好的事情,為何我要跟著別人去做,做與不做,自己決定。自己需要什麼,是知道的;不知道的話,跟著別人只是盲目。跟來也沒有意義。明明白白一條路,不再是摸索的階段了(當然當中還有很多的變化,都是在路上)。好有信心,好人貴人善人助緣人,還會繼續遇上。

心情

今天很開心啊!舞動著走回家。

三十塊一餐飯不難啊!有魚有菜有豆腐,還有栗米湯(是不需要三十塊)。清清淡淡,吃得開心。

加價年年有,只是現在天天在報導,令人心煩。不是安慰說話,食品貴了,少吃一點。很多時候,真的吃了很多不必要的東西(心癮罷了)。是身體敏感度高了(不是食物敏感),吃多了吃錯了,立即給訊號。以前都可能有,是感應不到。

番茄

爸爸跟人買番茄仔,近來愛吃。

十七節

不經不覺,原來已經做了十七節。有點奇怪的,總是不太願意填寫活動紀錄。為什麼呢?

方法,目的

兩種事情,而時常弄錯。

昨晚早了一個站下車,一點不高興也沒有。走在沒有走過的路上,感覺蠻好的。

跳步起左腳沒有問題,右腳被拉扯呀(大腿內側)!助理告訴我要跳起的,我說我知道可是我跳不起啊!

恩即是「因」、「心」二字所成,「因」的引申義有「原、初」的意思。所以應時時懷著原初的因心,感知自身以外所加於自己的恩德

想想,讀的幼稚園叫“基恩”,小學是“楊正培”,中學是“善德”。全是現在努力學習的範疇。

生活

朋友說他認為“叻”的人是懂管理生活,我說這是本分,沒有什麼了不起。為何一些根本的東西現在都變得需要很大的力度來取得?!

成長

從任何一種人際關係中都可以得到自我成長。因為人與人之間的性格、理念等等,必定有所不同,所以在相處過程中就會產生衝突或摩擦,但這種衝突未必是負面的,只要我們將之視為一面鏡子,用來反觀自心;從衝突中反省自己需要改進之處,而不是一味地指責、抱怨對方,那麼,相信不論是任何一種人際關係,到最後都必定能圓融無礙。

時常都說一段可以維持的人際關係是令大家成長的,這並不會累人。吃吃喝喝才累呢!

昨晚我們一起見證了大家的成長(老師臨時不能準時來),有點感動的(機構人員,姑娘和其他人都說活動帶得蠻不錯,雖然主力不是我,也做了點牽引)。我跟老師說我們不會怕了,努力還須,是新的一頁。

戒律

戒律是生活的藝術。說到藝術,各種藝術,表面上看起來好像是隨意發揮,但是其中必然是有原則、有規律的。

如此合乎規律的世法,雖然在動,但是在運動中間,也可以有安定。動中安定的規則,就叫做“律”。

時常在想,應給孩子什麼程度的自由。他們的生活已經很自由,還要給自由他們嗎?答案在此。

律字的右邊,好像一個人站得端正的樣子,要做到這樣,就要小步小步來。可步行也有其方法的,不可亂來。

「律」是從梵語 Vinaya翻譯過來,音譯為「毘奈耶」,又作「毘尼」。梵文的本意是「分離」、「遠離」、「丟棄」、「拋棄」的意思,也有「保護」、「引導」、「教育」、「培訓」的意思,所以總結來看,Vinaya在梵文的意思就是「拋棄惡習,引導善習」的教育工作,這也就是為什麼中國佛教翻譯為「調伏」的原因。

越來越喜歡“律”這個字。

活動日誌

為何沒有跳比跳還累?當然啦!“睇場”真的那麼容易啊?!今天說了最多的話就是“跌落台啦”。

今天終於理解到為何人在不同場合有不同的表現,是他們的自我(別人告訴我的)。在比較優勝的人群裡,她就做好一點;在另一個地方,別人比她差的她就比在優勝那一群時做得差一點。就是這般的錯誤,她的表現兩處都不好。自我(ego),真的是壞朋友,我要跟它絕交。

在團隊中,今天的感覺有點像半個導師(排舞老師不在狀態)。

老師不在,我們自己來。在排練手語歌的時候,學員走前來。很好啊!他們對活動顯得有興趣。

動作是可以有很多的情感,今晚做出來了。

在旁協助,我對學員說“笑下啦”。好老師的口吻。說了才察覺自己說了這句話。

扮海洋生物,居然扮了青蛙。錯了,嘻嘻!

兩排對坐,三個動作,原來可以有這麼多的變化。不知道嗎?當然不是,沒有花巧,很日常,就是想不到。開始懂活動身體了,被讚賞啊!

分享時間,老師說我們要懂得人來人去的境況。人,始終有一天不會再來(指死亡)。這方面,早就認識了。我指的是人際關係。以前,會感到無奈,現在這感覺沒有了。沒了就是沒了,想也沒有幫助,倒不如放眼現在。

完了活動,立即覺得餓,都是第一次。

被需要的感覺真的好。某天有兩個活動,不知道被安排在哪。地點甲的同事告訴我那天我不能在地點甲出現,老師說我沒有空。有點奇怪的,當時人的我卻不知道啊!我心裡想的當然是地點乙。地點甲,主要都只是陪著等,好悶的。

黑眼圈

熊貓眼的我,改善了。別人說的。

正見

正見(譯注:巴厘語為samma ditthi;“正”的英語原文是right,僧譯是“好的”,下都是;“見”的英語原文是understanding,僧譯是“看見”。“正見”可譯為“正確的見解”)

總是認為沒有東西需要明白的,看了這段,更加不需要明白。能瞭解就好。

聽音樂

好像很有趣似的(咖啡店已經想去很久的了),想啊!她的歌又幾好聽的。

信願行

被中國尊為凈土宗十二祖的徹悟禪師說:

真為生死,發菩提心,是學道通途。以深信願,持佛名號,為凈土正宗。

所謂通途,亦即前提。所謂正宗,即是心要。前提,既是出發點,亦是終點。心要,即能有深信,便會有切願;既有深信切願,便自當能有實行稱念阿彌陀佛名號等修持。所以,深信、切願和實行,這三者是互動的,是一體的。通常所謂如鼎三足,不可缺一。

做任何事情,都是這樣的。出發點和終點都是一樣(還記得打太極拳完成了二十四式後要站在開始的那點上),是動機和結果。不一樣的話,就要反省了,一定是哪裡出了歪。

有些人,一開始就會相信他了。很喜歡相信別人的感覺,很溫暖。為何怕被別人欺騙呢?有的是一顆真誠的心,騙也騙不了。欺,是有所欠缺吧!你沒有的可以給你的話,給又何妨,用得著就好。

無常

無常,是生命的真理,是一個事實,但是對無常的認知不同,人生的方向就有所不同。無常並非沒有希望,也不是結束後什麼都沒有,無常反而是我們創造圓滿、光明人生最好的方便。愚者於無常中意志消沉、懈怠放逸、放浪形骸,生活沒有目標;智者於無常中運用無常,改變目前的困境、創造更好的生命,甚至在無常的變化中,觀心返照,照見自己這念不生不滅的常住真心,依著此心而行,做自己真正的主人翁,創造出美好的人生、光明的未來。

《莫失莫忘》

No Pain Can Gain

It is important that we teach yoga principles to help our students avoid unnecessary suffering. The first yama in the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga is ahimsa. It is, unfortunately, often forgotten or misunderstood in our attempts to accomplish poses. The teacher must constantly reinforce this most important yogic principle.

Students are being led to believe that they should just push through pain. This is ridiculous and not yogic at all.

我的體驗告訴我no pain can gain。時常問別人要快做什麼,要身軀碰大腿做什麼,要手碰地做什麼。做不到就是做不到,勉強沒有幸福;倒不如做好平衡才說其他(good alignment)。

時常跟老師說他要持續教下去,在外是找不到像他那樣的班。如他所說,他在其他地方的教法是不一樣的。今個星期天又是新的循環,不記得是第幾次參加這班了。

Violence

As we experience on the physical plane what violence feels like—when we become angry at our lack of progress and force a posture, creating pain or even injury—it's as though we have cracked a code that allows us to decipher even more subtle ways in which we are violent in our everyday actions and thoughts. Our asana practice can provide a key to moving past our illusions about ahimsa and developing a true understanding of how to work in this world to maximize reverence and end suffering.

在課堂上,看到的就是真正的自己。接受不接受都是自己,沒得作假。

不願意接受自己但又不承認,於是埋怨導師教導一些自己做不來的動作。聽到這番話,好心痛。為何做不來,回家不練習,不調節心態來上課,當然什麼也做不了。做不了,不想想自己,想的是別人,要別人來配合自己的懶惰。還說要愛自己多一點,這是愛嗎?!

想起老師的話,他說做老師一點也不容易,每次走進課室都有一點怕(現在沒有了),擔心學生變得怎樣。要鼓勵別人,一點都不容易啊!不過還要繼續的,要訓練自己的耐性。

被問

今天在網上跟人閒談,被問會否覺得lonely(不知道他問的是寂寞還是孤獨)。兩者也沒有的,當然有一個伴可以做的玩的會更多。好想做partner yoga 啊!就算是背貼背地坐也是好的。

準備好了嗎

是問自己的,準備好了嗎?不知道事情會否發生,可是要做好心理準備。很清楚地知道我還是有點怕怕的,雖然心魔沒有了。怕什麼呢?不是過程,而是一些事後的感受(當然不想這出現,有誰可保證?!)

現在的我,有點自尋煩惱的,不過我頗想事情真的發生。寫了這一句,以上的問題不是有了答案了嗎?!

可以拉得好長好長的啊!

笑自己,還像少女一樣做夢。可想的都實現了,真有趣。

五蘊

看著看著,五蘊是何等的科學。五種東西是獨立的,又相互牽引。每次每種東西份量不同,出來的事物就不一樣了。與其想要相同的東西,倒不如放開懷抱,享受每次的不同所帶來的體驗。

活動的後面並沒有不動的推動者,只有活動本身。講“生命在活動”,是不對的,而生命就是活動本身。生命與活動並不是兩樣不同的東西。換句話說,思想的後面並沒有思想者。思想本身就是思想者。除掉了思想,你就找不到思想者。

又讓我想起老師的話“意義就在這裡”。心想著去找意義,可沒有意識到每一刻,意義來了也不知道啊!才跳一兩秒的舞,可學員們可以花上幾秒去選擇跟誰跳。意義在跳舞啊!在日常生活裡,我們何嘗不是花了過多的時間在選擇。我常開玩笑跟朋友說,忙於選擇,左想右想,是因為時間太多,不想的話就沒事情做了。

給朋友的預言

好肯定地說,如果他能作出文字上的回應,那一刻開始就懂跟身體感應了。

感應身體是很抽象的,那麼就從實在的文字開始。文字內裡的情感也是抽象的,不需要去猜別人想說什麼,很多時候說的人都不知道的。

《華嚴經》

“心如工畫師,畫種種五陰,一切世界中,無法而不造”

每次看到了“心如工畫師”這五個字,心就安靜下來了。

不問怎樣

朋友問我怎樣才知道自己用對了方法而得到改變。還未出發就關心結果?做了才算,可以不可以,過程裡就會知道。做與不做,時間一樣地過,當然做了才算。如果有善人在身邊,事情出錯的話會有忠告的。聽與不聽,自己選擇。聽後做與不做,更加是自己的事。

還在想怎樣呢?日月轉移,事情又不一樣了。可以的方法有機會變得不可能,就如練習,要留意身體狀況,不是老師這樣說就在任何的情況都一成不變地做。身體是自己的,感受是自己的,誰可幫忙?!人家的方法只是一個參考,絕對不可以據為己有。以為是走了捷徑,太傻了。拿了不適合自己的東西,為什麼?!

如果真的要說怎樣,學習應緣是最好的方法。怎樣應?有點像打球時的ball sense,球一離開對方的球拍,是會知道它走的方向(是左是右是長是短),知道了就作出相應的動作。

回想,網球教練說他第一次學習的時候,教導他的人叫他不好學了,說沒有天份。老師也是過了合適年齡才學習舞蹈的,也想過放棄。他們兩個,我都欣賞。在他們身上,學了很多。

也想起在銀行工作時候一位主任說的一句話“說了出口的話就不再是秘密”,另一位說“不要跟人說對不起,如果沒有做錯事情”。這兩句話,陪伴我十多年了。

有的

The second practice I use goes right to the heart of our sense of lack, to the secret feeling of not having enough love to give. The great lie that the feeling of separation fosters in us is the delusion of being unloved, or cut off from love, of there not being enough to go around. Not feeling loved ourselves, we pass on our sense of lack to others, so that even when we try to give love, what comes through instead is anxiety or clinging.

去關心別人而不是等待。老生常談的一句話“愛人先要愛自己”,真是的。人大了,往內看,很多以前聽過的話,很受用。跟老朋友說,我們的日子是越過越少了,真的不好浪費在無謂的情緒事件上。

The practice of love—actions and attitudes that create an atmosphere of kindness, acceptance, and unity in ourselves and in those around us—is not only the basis of spiritual life, it is also the basis of civilization. We can't always feel gratitude, but we can remember to say thank you. We can't always like other people, but we can try to pay attention when they talk to us and help them out when they're in trouble. We may not feel good about ourselves all the time, but we can practice treating ourselves gently, slowing down and breathing when we want to rush, or talking back to our inner voices of self-criticism and judgment. When it comes to daily life, feeling love may actually be less important than acting loving.

This isn't meant as an argument for pasted-on smiles, or for the common game of hiding anger and judgment behind a mask of false sweetness. The practice of loving is never about presenting a false front. Instead, it's an active answer to one of life's greatest questions: How can I, in spite of what I may be feeling at a particular moment, offer my best to myself and other people?

心意一致的一群人,未必遇上;幸運的,遇到了。雖然來的未必是每次一樣的一群人,可來了的就做大家要做的事。難得。

阿邊個邊個都是這樣講

是最差的說法,好多時候,說誰也這般說的時候,誰的話根本不是那個意思。我在說關於說人不好的話。

歡樂跌倒

跌倒了(別人),最後演變為歡樂。那刻,好像回到童年時。有人問我為何哭了,是我笑到眼濕濕。做了什麼,模仿別人跌倒啊!笑說那是一個好的舞姿,真心的。

Sitting Well

When your pelvis is stable and your skeletal structure is free to align properly, sitting feels effortless. You shouldn't have to use muscular tension to hold yourself up—thrusting your chest forward or pulling your shoulders back to lengthen your trunk.

幸福

幸福是享受著一些錢也買不到的東西,它給的是一份可以跟人分享的滿足。夢一般的感覺,可卻是實實在在的。

Concentration / Insight

"There is a difference between the samadhi (concentration) practices that come out of the Yoga Sutra and the insight practices that come out of the Buddha-dharma. With concentration practices, you don't necessarily know the essence of your object of concentration; and with vipassana (insight) practice, you are not just staying with the object, you are actually investigating its nature."

Developing concentration allows us to focus and train our attention for extended periods, which cultivates the conditions for insight to arise. When these conditions are right, Moffitt says, "insight comes like fruit dropping from a tree."

"The practice of mindfulness, of being aware of what is going on in each moment, is a basic, nonsectarian practice. It is one of the tools in the toolbox of meditative awareness."

朋友時常錯把工具當為目的。

記起老師的話,不需要再尋找意義,意義就在這裡。聽的人不明白他所說,好像有點不服氣不讓她表達。尋找什麼什麼,真的知道嗎?每次在佛法文章書籍看到“人在哪裡,心在哪裡”,就會想起老師的話。

昨天兩個人四隻手一起唱Om,看著所有的手都在伸直啊!一隻接一隻。那,就是意義就是力量。

不明白

朋友又告訴我他看了一篇文章但不明白,我問他想明白什麼?有沒有感受呢?他說有,我說那些感受就是他所明白的了。

什麼是明白?我也不知道。想想,從來也沒有被不明白困擾過,是我幸福啊!

他問我是否要明白了才會相信,我問他還記得我寫過不需要懂得電腦如何運作也可用電腦的。要不要相信,對我來說也不會是一種困擾。相信就相信,不相信就不相信。不是直覺,事情來了的時候自會知道的。

他又問是否信心的問題,我問他什麼是信心。

越說越發覺,很多東西其實並不存在的,也不可以確實地描繪出來。

白是所有顏色的總和,如果真的要明白,便是一切。沒有可能的啊!

失敗

朋友提起失敗,我問他什麼是失敗。我真的不知道。

清清楚楚

如果聽到別人罵你,清清楚楚地聽到聲音在罵,也知道自己是被罵的人,這時心中沒有煩惱。但是如果你心中起了波浪——我為什麼被罵?他為什麼打我?如此想的話,煩惱一定會展現出來,因為注意對方的緣故。反之,清清楚楚地注意自己的心念,則煩惱必定不存在。

呵呵!怪不得!

剛剛靠牆試著做,可以;不過耐不住幾秒,要起來了(腿很累)。背覺得無比的舒服。

從前是覺得暗處好像有什麼東西,所以害怕。現在是因為暗處什麼都沒有,所以害怕。

可是不知從什麼時候開始,我變成了有頭無尾,事事都做不完整。因為有了這毛病,我變得儘量少做事,又因為做事少,我變得更加無法把事情徹底做好。

好一個惡性循環。

不去選擇是最好的選擇,越來越體會得到。

買到這雙鞋,真開心。很有趣,穿著這雙鞋離開店鋪,手拿著本來穿著的球鞋就回家去了(反正只幾步路)。

Shoulder

Here are some key alignment principles to practice in all poses which will help relieve your biceps tendonitis:

  1. Keep your shoulders square across so that they are not sloped downward. Keep the sides of your ribs lifted from waistline to armpits.
  2. Move the head of the humerus straight back into the back plane of the body.
  3. Externally rotate the humerus. Do this as much as you can without pushing the head of the arm bone forward.
  4. Maintaining the alignment of the arm bone as described above, engage the biceps muscle so that it firmly hugs the humerus. In general, to keep the biceps muscle engaged to the bone, the energy of the biceps muscle should flow from the crease of the elbow to the front of the head of the arm bone.
It is actually a combination of four separate joints: the gleno-humeral, the acromio-clavicular, the sterno-clavicular and the scapula-thoracic joints. All four joints contribute to shoulder movement in a “coupled” fashion—that is movement occurs via a combination of individual joints. Limitation at any of the joints forming the shoulder can impair movement.

mobility and stability of the shoulder is determined by three factors: the bone shape, the capsuloligamentous structures and the muscular stabilizers. The majority of shoulder movement is from the glenohumeral joint. This is a shallow ball and socket that is held in place by a capsule with ligaments and a series of muscles.

沒有想過這裡也會影響到肩膀的活動。看到這裡,明白到打開胸骨的重要性,不只是關乎到呼吸那麼單一。

連結,會看到肩膀附近的肌肉是如何組織的。太太奇妙了。一塊肌肉覆蓋著另外的一塊,所謂深層的放鬆不是指一塊肌肉,而是整個組織。有些肌肉被埋藏在深處,做到深層就是指它們了。

今天

身體一點累的感覺也沒有,反覺輕鬆。那麼星期三後的是肌肉強化後的疲累了,而昨天的課又剛剛好練習到有關的部分。strength and flexibility,兩者是需要同時進行的。

不吐不快

對這四字詞有重新的認識,有些事情並不是說後就能感覺輕鬆的,反而不說,由它過去,更好。

Muscles

Muscles are made up of many fibers. When a muscle is used, not all the fibers contract at the same time. Some rest while the others work, and then they trade places.

As muscles get stronger from regular practice, the fibers learn to trade off between firing and resting with smoother coordination.

Tune into the brain, the eyes, the root of the tongue, and, most of all, the breath. If any of these areas feel hard or constricted, take the coach's advice: Try easier.

在過程裡,跟身體對話是很重要的。不是盲目地跟著做,懂自我調節是很重要的。沒有肌力,支撐不到骨頭,想有好的alignment 是比較困難的。沒有好的alignment,想做好根本不可能。

看著大腿的肌力一天比一天好,練習起來的體驗變得完全不一樣。是啊!是一個新的循環,要重新留意每個alignment。今晚靠在地鐵車箱裡的感覺是很實在的,以為做得好了,原來可以更好。今早還是感覺矮矮的,可晚上就變得高了。

沒有化妝的話

是今晚跟朋友說的形容詞,朋友見面,說話還須化妝嗎?!朋友說她說話沒有重點,另一個朋友說我們又不是在上班開會,要重點來做什麼。我們說的都是自己的事情,你一句我一句,這就是朋友啊!

First Kosha

Learning how to align your joints, bones, and spine, engage your muscles, sense your skin, and even become aware of what is happening to your organs and endocrine system within the poses teaches you to harmonize your first kosha. When I teach yoga or do my own practice, I start with a keen awareness of the first kosha—the body sensations—to make the more subtle layers of the self more accessible. In other words, if you want to deepen your breath or affect your state of mind, you have to honor and pass through the gateway of the physical body.
